  • Publication number: 20040093914
Abstract: A tamper resistant padlock including a lock housing having a surface defining a bore having an inner surface. A shackle has first and second legs and is moveable between a first position, in which the first and second legs are located within the lock housing with the second leg being disposed in the bore, and a second position, in which the second leg is separated from the bore of the lock housing. A shield is disposed around the second leg. Wherein when the shackle is in the first position, a portion of the shield is proximate to the surface of the lock housing to essentially cover at least a portion of any gap between the inner surface of the bore and the second leg of the shackle.

  • Publication number: 20040083777
Abstract: A lock assembly adapted to engage a closure eye. A piston is slideably positioned in the housing for movement between a first piston position, in which the piston is substantially positioned inside the housing, and a second piston position, in which a portion of the piston extends from the housing. A bolt is moveable from a first bolt position into a second bolt position. When the bolt is substantially in the second bolt position and the piston is moved into the first piston position, the bolt moves into a third bolt position, in which the bolt is substantially within the housing. The bolt is adapted to be positioned within the closure eye at least while in the third bolt position.

  • Patent number: 6718802
Abstract: A lock that is tamper resistant and includes a lock member. Two tubes are disposed on the lock member. Each of the two tubes extend generally outwardly therefrom and each define a bore therethrough. The lock includes a closure member which has two shafts. The two shafts are inserted through the two tubes and detachable within the lock member when the lock is an installed configuration. A locking mechanism detachably locks the closure member to the lock member when the lock is in the installed configuration wherein the two tubes substantially cover the two shafts.

  • Patent number: 6701757
Abstract: An accessory component for a lock having a lock body capable of being detachably secured in closed loop to define a first bounded area. The accessory component includes a component body having first and second ends. The first end includes a first ring defining a first bore and second end includes a second ring defining a second bore. The accessory component is adapted to be positionable in an installed configuration in which the at least a portion of the lock body is located within the first and second bores such that the accessory component, in combination with the lock body, defines a second bounded area. The accessory component is adapted to secure an object within the second bounded area when the accessory component is in the installed configuration and the lock is detachably secured to form the closed loop.
