  • Publication number: 20030228818
Abstract: A material adapted to regulate vibration by distributing and partially dissipating vibration exerted thereon. The material includes an elastomer layer. A support structure is penetrated by and is embedded on and/or within the elastomer layer. The support structure is semi-rigid and supports the elastomer layer. Methods of making the material are also disclosed herein.

  • Publication number: 20030228816
Abstract: A multi-layer material adapted to dissipate transmitted vibrations. The material preferably has two generally independent layers including a first elastomer layer. An aramid fiber layer is disposed on the first elastomer layer. The aramid fiber layer may be woven to form a cloth layer. Additional embodiments of the mutli-layer material are disclosed herein.

  • Patent number: 6652398
Abstract: A vibration dampening grip cover for the handle of an implement is preferably of multilayer laminate form having an inner vibration dampening layer and an outer gripping layer. A further inner force dissipating stiffening layer is included in the laminate. In a variation of the invention a grip cover is in the form of a sleeve which fits over the end of an implement handle. The sleeve terminates in a peripherally outward knob. The sleeve may be of a single layer made from vibration dampening material or may be a multilayer laminate.

  • Publication number: 20030148836
Abstract: A grip for minimizing sting in a hand held swinging athletic contacting making article such as a bat, racquet, club or stick is secured to the handle of the article. The grip is a multilayer laminate having an inner layer made from an elastomeric material having high energy absorption and vibration damping characteristics. The laminate also includes an exposed outer layer made from an elastomeric material having a high coefficient of friction and being pliable. In addition, the laminate includes force dissipating material having the characteristics of absorbing and redirecting vibrational energy.

  • Patent number: 6601413
Abstract: A hasp enclosure for protecting an eye of a hasp and receiving a lock. The hasp enclosure includes a cover having an opening which extends into an interior, eye receiving chamber. An aperture is defined through the cover which intersects the interior, eye receiving chamber in a location which is aligned with the eye so that the lock can be be inserted through the aperture in the cover and the eye. The cover may be a separate piece or may be connected to the hasp face plate over the hasp eye receiving slot.

  • Publication number: 20030115916
Abstract: A device to lock a brake or clutch pedal of a vehicle that deters theft of the vehicle. The device includes a base for placement on a floor of the vehicle beneath the pedal of the vehicle and a pedal shaft supporting the pedal. A housing having an arm is attached to the base member. The arm has an opening therethrough. A rod is slidably disposed within the opening. The rod has a generally J-shaped end for receiving the pedal shaft. The rod is slidable within the arm so that the J-shaped end is movable between a raised position where the pedal cannot be depressed, and a retracted position, wherein the J-shaped end and is spaced from the clutch or brake pedal shaft. A locking mechanism is operably connected to the rod to fix the J-shaped end in at least the raised position.
