  • Publication number: 20060104777
Abstract: A loader frame assembly is provided which comprises a support member adapted to mount a loader thereto and first and second legs each having first and second ends. The first ends are connected to the support member and the second ends are adapted for connection to a vehicle. The legs are spaced apart such that they partially define an open area such that a load can extend through the loader frame assembly. The frame assembly adapted for a rear-mounted loader vehicle, in cooperation with a rotatably mounted loader, can encompass a work area that includes the vehicle bed, the area adjacent to each side of the vehicle bed, and the area behind the vehicle bed. Due to the open area, the loader frame assembly also can work in cooperation with vehicle configurations including vehicles equipped with pushing and dumping functionality, dosed compartments, and towed devices.

  • Publication number: 20060072105
Abstract: Method and apparatus for optically testing the quality of objects such as silicon wafers which have a circular peripheral edge, wherein light is directed onto the edge region of the object, and the light radiating from the object due to reflection, refraction and/or diffraction is detected by means of a measuring unit which produces an image from the received light. Defects on and/or in the object are identified from the produced image.

  • Publication number: 20060002529
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing modem command and status latency within a direct access arrangement (DAA) circuit is disclosed. The DAA circuit includes a serial audio interface for providing communications between the DAA circuit and the host computer system. The serial audio interface can operate under multiple serial communication interface standards, such as the AC '97 standard and the HD Audio standard. The DAA circuit also includes means for configuring the serial audio interface to transmit and receive modem samples at an audio sample rate higher than a modem sample rate of the modem samples and at a predetermined bit size that is wider than a bit size of the modem samples. The additional bits other than the modem samples are utilized to indicate command and status information associated with the DAA circuit or a telephone line such that modem command and status latency on the serial audio interface within the DAA circuit can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6574815
Abstract: An attachment gusset with ruffled corners and method and machinery for manufacture provides a gusset formed of a continuous strip of material which is pleated at corners or turns in direction of the gusset to form ruffles which are attached to an adjacent layer of material. The ruffled gusset lies substantially flat against adjacent layers of material to which it is attached in a pressed state, and can be expanded to accommodate dimensional structures, such as cushioned pads. The number and spacing of pleats can be adjusted according to the radius of the corners or turns in the gusset. In a method of construction of the gusset, the pleats are formed as the material to which the gusset is attached is turned relative to the sewing point of attachment.

  • Patent number: 6025714
Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging sequence synergistically combines Half Fourier Transform complex conjugation with shared echo imaging. The Half Fourier Transform complex conjugation reduces data acquisition time and permits the data acquisition per scan to be accomplished with a single RF transmission loop. The shared echo imaging provides multiple images of an image plane from a single scan, yet with different contrast and a larger number of slices. In an alternative embodiment, phase correction is provided between the non-shared echo responses.

  • Patent number: 5457605
Abstract: An electronic device (100) has a heatsink (116) and electrical contacts (120) which are originally all part of a support frame (200). After assembly, the border of the support frame (202) is broken off, thereby electrically isolating the electrical contacts (120) from one another, and from the heatsink (116). The electrical contacts (120) and the heatsink (116) are coplanar. In one version, the electrical contacts (120) do not extend past the circuit board (102) of the device (100).

  • Patent number: 5375034
Abstract: A silicon capacitive pressure sensor is disclosed having a silicon diaphragm and a silicon substrate arranged in parallel and separated by a glass dielectric spacer. The glass is deposited onto a surface of the substrate using an ion milling machine. The sensor further includes a transition piece attached to a second layer of glass insulator disposed between the silicon diaphragm and the transition piece. The transition piece has a throughbore formed therein for applying a fluid to a surface of the silicon diaphragm, the fluid having a pressure desired to be measured by the sensor. The glass disposed between the diaphragm and the transition piece is deposited onto the transition piece using the ion milling process.
