  • Publication number: 20240412717
Abstract: Exemplary air amplifiers described herein can utilize a high-pressure stream of gas to accelerate a low-velocity stream of gas to provide a high-velocity, high-volume stream of gas. This high-velocity, high-volume stream of gas can generate unwanted noise as the high-velocity, high-volume stream of gas propagates through the air amplifier. The exemplary air amplifiers described herein can include a multi-stage noise suppression system to suppress, for example, diminish, re-tune, or even completely cancel, the unwanted noise as the high-velocity, high-volume stream of gas propagates through these exemplary air amplifiers. The multi-stage noise suppression system can include one or more absorption materials to passively suppress the unwanted noise generated by the high-velocity, high-volume stream of gas. The multi-stage noise suppression system described herein can generate one or more noise suppression waves to actively suppress the unwanted noise generated by the high-velocity, high-volume stream of gas.

  • Publication number: 20240399923
Abstract: A traction battery controller of an electrified vehicle dynamically adjusts an estimation gain based on a state-of-charge (SOC) of the traction battery and controls the vehicle according to an operating characteristic of the traction battery estimated from an equivalent circuit model of the traction battery that depends on the estimation gain. The controller may reduce the estimation gain while the SOC is low or high and may otherwise maintain the SOC. The controller may dynamically adjust the estimation gain based further on a temperature of the traction battery. The operating characteristic may be a power capability of the traction battery or an updated SOC of the traction battery.

  • Publication number: 20240399863
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to perform a vehicle function. A vehicle function command is detected and it is determined if an event moved is active. In response to a determination that the event mode is active, an event mode parameter is retrieved. Otherwise, in response to a determination that the event mode is not active, a normal mode parameter is retrieved. The vehicle function is performed based on the retrieved event mode parameter or normal mode parameter.

  • Publication number: 20240350952
Abstract: Nanofiber filter media ribbons are flexible elongate strips of polymeric material having a surface on which is formed an array of nanofibers. Ribbons are formable into woven or non-woven mats. The array of nanofibers can be configured to filter a predetermined contaminant from a fluid stream passing through the mats. Filter ribbons are formable by applying a moldable polymer to a first angular location of a rotating cylindrical roll having an array of nanoholes formed in a circumferential surface thereof so that the polymer covers the surface of the roll and infiltrates the nanoholes; cooling the polymer while rotating the polymer-covered roll to a second angular position; and removing the cooled polymer from the roll as an elongate film having an array of nanofibers formed on a surface thereof by the polymer that infiltrated the nanoholes.

  • Publication number: 20240346178
Abstract: Disclosed is a system that tracks website usage without compromising user privacy. The system aggregates website usage data of multiple users across multiple websites. Website usage data is aggregated in a way that preserves each individual user's privacy. Specifically, information relevant to a particular user may be obtained from the aggregated information without exposing what was actually collected from that user. In some configurations, user-specific website usage data is aggregated using trusted execution environment computing hardware. This ensures that privacy is preserved while user-specific data is transferred to and processed by the system. The trusted execution environment applies differential privacy techniques to ensure that use of the aggregated information does not reveal actual information about a user's website usage history. In this way, privacy is maintained while still enabling many of the scenarios that would otherwise rely on third-party cookies.
