That is, rather than directly transmit the relevant SR PUCCH resource(s), which indirectly identifies the SR ID, an indication of the SR ID is directly transmitted on the PUCCH transmission. The encoding of an indication of SR ID may comprise adding bits to UCI to be transmitted, for PUCCH formats 2, 3, or 4. For PUCCH format 0, encoding the indication of SR ID comprises adding an initial cyclic offset indicating the triggered SR.
