  • Patent number: 12629477
Abstract: Methods of inserting a lubricant free stopper into a lubricant free syringe barrel or lubricant free cartridge tube is disclosed. The method includes (1) inserting a stopper with a sealing rib into a placement region of a vacuum chamber, (2) creating a seal between the vacuum chamber and a syringe barrel or a cartridge tube, (3) maneuvering the stopper into a proximal end of the syringe barrel or cartridge tube by a first differential pressure and/or an insertion rod, (4) maneuvering the stopper through the barrel by second differential pressure and/or an insertion rod, (5) optionally sealing a pressure sealing cap to the proximal end of the vacuum chamber, (6) removing the vacuum chamber, insertion rod, and, if present, the pressure sealing cap. The methods are lubricant free or substantially lubricant free. The vacuum chamber may be electropolished and/or extrude honed.

  • Patent number: 10360189
Abstract: An object-based data storage system includes a memory and a processor for executing machine executable instructions configured for implementing logical containers for data objects each having a global identifier. The containers are configured for storing metadata including a first parameterization value descriptive of a number of storage nodes and a second parameterization value descriptive of a classification of the data objects. The machine executable instructions are further configured for implementing a first object storage ring for addressing storage locations across the multiple storage nodes using a surjective function.

Abstract: A key-value store for storing and retrieving user files based on key-value pairs, hereafter referred to as KVPs. For each user of the key-value store, each file of a set of files of said each user is stored as one or more pairs of KVPs. Each of said one or more pairs comprises a KVP of a first type and a KVP of a second type. The KVP of the first type comprises at least a part of contents of said each file, whereas the KVP of the second type comprises metadata (and possibly attributes) of said each file. • Publication number: 20070291595
Abstract: A dual purpose media drive exchanges data with removable media items. The drive includes at least one port to receive various control signals, including (1) data exchange commands directing the drive to read and/or write data to a media item mounted by the drive, and (2) robotic device management commands. The drive includes a processor that responds to incoming data exchange commands by reading and/or writing to the loaded media item. The processor responds to at least some robotic device management signals by forwarding them to a robotic media transport device. The processor withholds the data exchange commands from the robotic device, since they are only pertinent to operations of the drive itself. The robotic device may be configured to restrict host access to library components according to predefined logical partitions.
