  • Publication number: 20140377462
Abstract: By flowing an amount of hydrogen gas (25-75% of total flow), the stress of thin carbon films (100 nm-10 ?m) can be reduced. The films are deposited by chemical vapor deposition (800° C.-1100° C.) using an ethylene source gas (remainder of total flow). Carbon nanotube structures infiltrated with carbon by this method will not delaminate from the growth substrate, allowing for a range of post-processing methods. One process that can be performed is to etch the carbon “floor layer”, coat the structures in a Formvar film, and then release the structures using a chemical etch. Thin films (5-100 nm) can then be deposited on the substrate-defined Formvar surface. The Formvar can be removed by a thermal annealing step (400-600° C.), or a chemical etch step, either of which will leave suspended thin films over the open portions of the structures.

  • Publication number: 20140377337
Abstract: The invention concerns the use of a preparation based on prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) as active ingredient in a carrier suitable for administration on the skin or on the mucous membranes, for the treatment by the transdermal or transmucosal route of acute or chronic ophthalmic pathologies of an ischemic nature, and in general for the treatment of ophthalmic pathologies involving at least in part an ischemic mechanism of the ocular district. By applying PGE1 on the skin, particularly in the form of a cream, it is possible to avoid the drawbacks of the intravenous administration of the drug, while still maintaining a comparable level of absorption of the drug in the ocular district. By suitably modulating the dosage, it is possible to obtain in the eye, by the cutaneous administration of PGE1, the same clinical results that can be obtained by intravenous administration.

  • Publication number: 20140359010
Abstract: Program on a server computer generates a list having at least a string of plain text defined based on rules, wherein the rules also define a news feed of an electronic media source. The program code subscribes to the news feed. The program code computes a number of times the string of plain text is identified within the news feed, and a score for the string of plain text. Based on the score, the program code generates an electronic notification that alerts of an anticipated change in computer hardware capacity requirements for a build, support, and maintenance of a networked computer system. The program code estimates the requirements. Based on the score, the program code generates a request to adjust allocation of the computer hardware within the networked computer system to satisfy the requirements estimated. The program code sends the request generated to a client computer for viewing.

  • Publication number: 20140351408
Abstract: Program code on a client computer receives an image of computer hardware and a unique identifier of the computer hardware. The program code generates a request that includes the unique identifier, a location of a client computer, and profile information of an end-user logged into the client computer. The program code sends the request to a server computer, and forwards a version of the request to an incident management system that in response to receiving the request extracts information associated to the computer hardware. The program code receives the information extracted, and forwards the information to the client computer. The program code overlays at least some of the information forwarded, onto the image of the computer hardware. The program code generates a map that displays on the screen of the client computer the image of the computer hardware overlaid with at least some of the information forwarded.

  • Patent number: 8626859
Abstract: For custom message presentation, an identification module identifies an optical code as not communication ready. A message module generates a custom message indexed to the optical code in response to identifying the optical code as not communication ready. The message module further makes the optical code communication ready in response to generating the custom message. In addition, the message module communicates the custom message in response to receiving the optical code and identifying the optical code as communication ready.
