  • Publication number: 20240086879
Abstract: A host device is included within a housing of a first peripheral; the host devices includes an internal connection within the housing to the first peripheral. Each composited integrated peripheral device includes two or more second peripherals. A combination of the host device, the composite integrated peripheral devices, standalone peripheral devices, and accessory modules is identified. Housings associated with the combination are attached to, placed on, or placed adjacent to one or more of the accessory modules of the combination. In an embodiment, accessory modules are arranged in a layout that defines a clearance area for custom access and the corresponding peripherals of the combination are connected to the host device. The host device processes self-service transactions for customers with disabilities using the corresponding peripherals and the accessory modules within the layout.

  • Publication number: 20240027268
Abstract: A method and device (10) for making a calibrated measurement of light from an object (E). In a first measurement window (W1), object light (LE) is received from the object (E) onto a beam splitter (11) which splits the light into a signal path (Ps) and a reference path (Pr). A first signal (S1=T·LE·Hs) is measured by a signal detection element (15s) in the signal path (Ps). A second signal (S2=R·LE·Hr) is measured by a reference detection element (15r) in the reference path (Pr). In a second measurement window (W2), calibration light (LC) is received onto the beam splitter (11). A third signal (S3=R·LC·Hs) is measured by the signal detection element (15s) in the signal path (Ps). A fourth signal (S4=T·LC·Hr) is measured by the reference detection element (15r) in the reference path (Pr). A measurement value of the object light (LE) is determined based on the measured signals (S1,S2,S3,S4).

  • Publication number: 20220205114
Abstract: A HOCl manufacturing system is disclosed for production of high potency, safe, consistently pure, stable, authentic HOCl in a deployable, portable, high volume, localized manufacturing unit. The electrolysis method uses a deployable, remote-controlled manufacturing system. The method includes: controlling water flow rate into an electrolysis chamber by providing feedback controlled water pressure; applying feedback controlled current to the electrolysis chamber via an adjustable and high-current power supply; adding sodium chloride brine, via a feedback controlled actuator, to an anode chamber inlet and creating an aqueous mixture; adding sodium hydroxide, via a feedback controlled actuator, to the aqueous mixture; and producing aqueous hypochlorous acid free from hypochlorites, phosphates, oxides, and stabilizers.

  • Patent number: 11226335
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for specific detection of a target analyte using probe DNA specific to the target analyte and non-functionalized, carbohydrate-capped metal nanoparticles such as non-functionalized, dextrin-capped gold nanoparticles. A sample mixture including a target DNA analyte and a probe DNA specific thereto is incubated to from a probe DNA-target DNA complex. The non-functionalized, carbohydrate-capped metal nanoparticles and an ionic species such as sodium chloride or other salt are added to the probe DNA-target DNA complex, and the mixture is incubated. Addition of the ionic species creates a detectable distinction, such as color of the resultant mixture, between stabilized metal nanoparticles when the probe DNA-target DNA complex is present and destabilized metal nanoparticles when the probe DNA-target DNA complex is absent. The method can be used for colorimetric detection of plant pathogens and associated diseases in agricultural production systems.

  • Publication number: 20210364423
Abstract: Concentrations are determined based on a measurement of a composition (X) by Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS). The LIBS spectrum (Sx) comprises resonance peaks (Rk,Rca,Rna) corresponding to the constituents (K,Ca,Na) in the composition (X). The resonance peaks comprise spectral amplitudes (Pk,Pca,Dna,Pna) indicative of the unknown concentrations (Cna,Ck,Cca) of the constituents (K,Ca,Na). A first spectral amplitude (Pk,Pca,Dna) in the LIBS spectrum (Sx) corresponds to the unknown concentration (Ck,Cca,Cna) of a first constituent (K,Ca,Na) to be determined. A second spectral amplitude (Pna) corresponds to a maximum value of a self-reversed resonance peak (Rna) of the first or another constituent (Na) in the LIBS spectrum (Sx). An amplitude ratio (Pk/Pna, Pca/Pna, Dna/Pna) is calculated between the first spectral amplitude (Pk,Pca,Dna) and the second spectral amplitude (Pna) and the ratio is matched with calibration data to determine concentrations.

  • Patent number: 10435817
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to nanoscale wires, and to methods of producing nanoscale wires. In some aspects, the nanoscale wires are nanowires comprising a core which is continuous and a shell which may be continuous or discontinuous, and/or may have regions having different cross-sectional areas. In some embodiments, the shell regions are produced by passing the shell material (or a precursor thereof) over a core nanoscale wire under conditions in which Plateau-Raleigh crystal growth occurs, which can lead to non-homogenous deposition of the shell material on different regions of the core. The core and the shell each independently may comprise semiconductors, and/or non-semiconductor materials such as semiconductor oxides, metals, polymers, or the like. Other embodiments are generally directed to systems and methods of making or using such nanoscale wires, devices containing such nanoscale wires, or the like.

  • Patent number: 10244004
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods for providing a non-registering endpoint with non-registration services (such as the ability to make a call) in an IMS network without requiring the non-registering endpoint to register. A request for a non-registration service is received and processed by an entity in the IMS network that is configured to handle such requests. The entity requires information about the non-registering endpoint itself before it can process the request. Since the non-registering endpoint is part of the network, a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) knows some information about the non-registering endpoint, but can only provide this information to the entity if the non-registering endpoint is registered or being registered by the entity. Consequently, in embodiments, the entity makes it look like the non-registering endpoint is registering, in order for the entity to obtain the information from the HSS.
