  • Publication number: 20100023511
Abstract: A method for correlating data from a data source representing a single data file to a data target containing a plurality of data files is provided. The method includes normalizing the data from the data source, such as by removing white space and replacing data strings. One or more data strings are selected for use as preliminary selection criteria. The preliminary selection criteria are then used to search for one or more matches in the normalized data from the data source. If no match is found, one or more data strings are selected for use as secondary selection criteria. A correlation score is calculated if at least one match is found using the preliminary selection criteria.

  • Patent number: 7601740
Abstract: Behavioral pharmacological data with the compound of formula (I), a novel and selective 5HT2A/2C receptor inverse agonist, demonstrate in vivo efficacy in models of psychosis and dyskinesias. This includes activity in reversing MK-801 induced locomotor behaviors, suggesting that this compound may be an efficacious anti-psychotic, and activity in an MPTP primate model of dyskinesias, suggesting efficacy as an anti-dyskinesia agent. These data support the hypothesis that 5HT2A/2C receptor inverse agonism may confer antipsychotic and anti-dyskinetic efficacy in humans, and indicate a use of the compound of formula (I) and related agents as novel therapeutics for Parkinson's Disease, related human neurodegenerative diseases, and psychosis.

  • Publication number: 20080164846
Abstract: A dock has a cradle and at least one port for recharging and communicating with a tire pressure monitoring tool. The dock recognizes that the tool is inserted into the dock; evaluates the programming in the memory; compares the programming in the memory against programming stored in a computer; determines whether the programming in the memory is older than the programming stored in the computer; and if the programming in the memory is older than the programming in the computer, then loads the programming from the computer into the memory.

  • Patent number: 7005274
Abstract: The present invention relates to improved diagnostic methods for early detection of a risk for developing an arthritic disorder in humans, and screening assays for therapeutic agents useful in the treatment of arthritic disorders, by comparing the levels of one or more indicators of altered mitochondrial function. Indicators of altered mitochondrial function include enzymes such as mitochondrial enzymes and ATP biosynthesis factors. Other indicators of altered mitochondrial function include mitochondrial mass, mitochondrial number and mitochondrial DNA content, cellular responses to elevated intracellular calcium and to apoptogens, and free radical production. Methods of treating, and of stratifying, human patients as such methods relate to disclosed indicators of altered mitchondrial function are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6942423
Abstract: A bypass channel (C) for fish extends along line one side of a river, for the full length of a section of the river in which reservoirs (22, 24, 26, 28) have been created by dams (14, 16, 18, 20). The channel (C) follows the grade of the natural river. It includes an inner wall (34) that varies in height so that it is always higher than the water level in any of the reservoirs. It also includes an outer wall (36) and a bottom wall (38) which are formed on the natural terrain that borders the river and reservoirs. In at least its taller regions, the inner wall (38) may be braced by a diagonal member or a system of member (40). Water flow into the channel (C) maybe regulated by horizontal and/or vertical gates (50, 52) or some other structure for changing the cross sectional area of the channel (C).

  • Patent number: 6925924
Abstract: A non-linear shaped charge perforator for use in perforating an oil and gas formation into which a wellbore has been drilled comprises a monolithic, axisymmetric metal case in which is disposed a main explosive charge between the front of the case, which is closed with a concave metal liner, and the closed back end of the case. The main explosive charge contains multiple initiation points, preferably two initiation points located about 180° apart on the outside surface of the charge, so that when the perforator is detonated the main charge is initiated such that the metal liner is collapsed into a non-circular jet, preferably a fan-shaped jet, that pierces the casing of the wellbore and forms non-circular perforations, preferably slot-shaped perforations, in the surrounding formation.

  • Patent number: 6900197
Abstract: Cobalt-porphyrin (Co-P) complexes for use as anti-obesity agents, and compositions and methods related thereto. The Co-P complexes exhibit reduced redox activity compared to cobalt mesoporphyrin (Co-MP) and cobalt protoporphyrin (Co-PP), which alleviates the deleterious effects associated with administration of Co-P associated with oxidative stress, particularly in the context of injection site toxicity.
