  • Patent number: 11963473
Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to computer vision and automation to autonomously identify and deliver for application a treatment to an object among other objects, data science and data analysis, including machine learning, deep learning, and other disciplines of computer-based artificial intelligence to facilitate identification and treatment of objects, and robotics and mobility technologies to navigate a delivery system, more specifically, to an agricultural delivery system configured to identify and apply, for example, an agricultural treatment to an identified agricultural object. In some examples, a method may include, receiving data representing a policy specifying a type of action for an agricultural object, selecting an emitter with which to perform a type of action for the agricultural object as one of one or more classified subsets, and configuring the agricultural projectile delivery system to activate an emitter to propel an agricultural projectile to intercept the agricultural object.

  • Publication number: 20240074340
Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to computer vision and automation to autonomously survey an agricultural environment. In some examples, a system can receive sensor data of a geographic boundary from one or more sensors onboard of the agricultural observation system, detect a plurality of external dynamic objects, a plurality of external static objects, one or more agricultural objects, or a combination thereof from the sensor data, determine a position of a component of the agricultural observation system relative to the plurality of external dynamic objects, the plurality of external static objects, the one or more agricultural objects, or a combination thereof, and generate a local map, in real time, via one or more processing units.

  • Publication number: 20220074166
Abstract: A subsea plough includes a plough share coupled to a chassis, boulder clearance and spoil clearance members, and front and rear support surfaces. In a first configuration, a maximum span of the boulder clearance member in an extended position is greater than a span of the spoil clearance member. The plough may be reconfigurable to include a backfill member. A method of use of the plough is provided in a boulder clearing only mode, and optional modes of simultaneous boulder clearing and trenching, second pass trenching, and backfilling a trench to bury a flexible elongate member in a seabed.

  • Publication number: 20220001968
Abstract: A water safety garment and apparatus configured to avoid drowning can be configured to permit submergence for a predetermined period of time without inflation. After the predetermined time has passed, the garment or other apparatus can be configured to inflate to help a person wearing the garment float on top of the water to avoid drowning or other potentially harmful condition that may result from being underwater for too long. In some embodiments, a circuit may be utilized to detect the submergence condition of a person wearing the apparatus or garment. Upon a determination that the detected submergence condition has occurred continuously for a pre-determined period of time, an inflation mechanism can be actuated to force the person wearing the apparatus or garment to float to the top of the water.

  • Publication number: 20120151343
Abstract: In an embodiment of the invention, a method for deep tag media playback is provided. The method includes activating a user interface control for a media player executing in memory of a computer and correlating the user interface control to a classification of content type for digital media. A starting frame of digital media loaded for playback in the media player is determined for the correlated classification and the digital media is indexed to the starting frame in the media player. Finally, playback of the digital media is directed in the media player beginning with the starting frame. Optionally, a proximity event can be detected for the user interface control. In response, a thumbnail image is generated based on the starting frame and the thumbnail image is displayed in proximity to the user interface control.
