  • Publication number: 20250232021
Abstract: Connected computing enables the use of highly diverse environments that support operating frameworks for contemporary civilization. But computing productivity and trustworthiness are undermined by such environments' largely inchoate organization. These environments and their identity infrastructures are fragmented, and unnecessarily unreliable, insecure, and insufficiently informative due to current computing entity (e.g., resource) identification infrastructure design, which lacks root identification reliability. Such reliability is enabled herein by a fundamentally accurate and authenticity ensuring, near-existential or existential quality, biometrically and liveness based, portable identification and provenance infrastructure. Such an infrastructure provides ubiquitously available identification information that can be used universally for identification processes.

  • Publication number: 20250172149
Abstract: A drum unloading station has a plurality of lances which can move intermediate stand-by to in-use configurations as well as up and down, preferably pneumatically, electronically, or otherwise as may be directed by a processor. The lances preferably have self-draining tips with ports above a base whereby the base can rest against a bag in a container to prevent the bag from restricting flow through the tip ports. Hub ports may be disposed above the tip ports and provide an outward flow of fluid for at least one of rinsing material from the container towards the tip ports or directing about the lance such as into a scabbard for clean in place convenience.

  • Publication number: 20250161877
Abstract: One aspect of the invention relates to a method comprising a single-stage conversion of an atmospheric pollutant, such as NO, NO2 and/or SOx in a first stream to one or more mineral acids and/or salts thereof by reacting with nonionic gas phase chlorine dioxide (ClO20), wherein the reaction is carried out in the gas phase. Another aspect of the invention relates to a method comprising first adjusting the atmospheric pollutant concentrations in a first stream to a molar ratio of about 1:1, and then reacting with an aqueous metal hydroxide solution (MOH). Another aspect of the invention relates to an apparatus that can be used to carry out the methods disclosed herein. The methods disclosed herein are unexpectedly efficient and cost effective, and can be applied to a stream comprising high concentration and large volume of atmospheric pollutants.

  • Publication number: 20250157034
Abstract: Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are commonly used to assess patients with known or suspected pathologies of the lungs and liver. In particular, identification and quantification of possibly malignant regions identified in these high-resolution images is essential for accurate and timely diagnosis. However, careful quantitative assessment of lung and liver lesions is tedious and time consuming. This disclosure describes an automated end-to-end pipeline for accurate lesion detection and segmentation.

  • Patent number: 12299096
Abstract: A trusted device, such as a wristwatch, is provided with authentication circuitry, used to perform an authentication operation to switch the trusted device into an authenticated state. Retention monitoring circuitry monitors the physical possession of the trusted device by the user following the authentication operation and switches the trusted device out of an authenticated state if the trusted device does not remain in the physical possession of the user. While the trusted device remains in the physical possession of the user, communication triggering circuitry is used to detect a request to establish communication with a target device that is one of a plurality of different target devices and communication circuitry is used to communicate with that target device using an authenticated identity of the user.

  • Patent number: 12275666
Abstract: Apparatus and method for treating a substrate, for example texturing a substrate. In some embodiments, a masking material is applied to a surface of the substrate in a predetermined pattern, the surface thereafter contacted with an etchant that removes the masking material. Contacting the surface with the etchant produces multiple co-located textures. In other embodiments, the masking step can be eliminated, and the etchant is applied in a predetermined pattern to produce multiple co-located textures. In still other embodiments, the substrate has a chemical composition, and the substrate is exposed to a leachant that leaches at least one constituent of the chemical composition to produce a substrate with a varying chemical composition at the substrate surface.

  • Publication number: 20250074573
Abstract: An airplane door sill protector is provided. The sill protector is used to fit to a sill and fuselage of an airplane to prevent damage to the fuselage. The sill protector includes an elongated body having a base joined with a lip that forms a channel to receive the fuselage of the airplane door. A first and second curved section are positioned at opposing ends of the elongated body, such that each curved section arches away from a longitudinal axis and can accommodate a curved exterior edge of the airplane fuselage. The curved sections correspond to the curve of the fuselage and, in some embodiments, are extendable to fit openings of various sizes.
