  • Patent number: 11728013
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to systems and methods for accessing, managing, and exchanging patient information across a plurality of providers that may have various discrete medical record systems, including, but not limited to medical facilities, clinics, ambulatory emergency health systems, and other providers (e.g., heterogeneous healthcare providers). In various embodiments, the system receives a request from a requesting party for one or more records of a particular patient. In response, in one or more embodiments, the system identifies what information (if any) the requester is authorized to receive, retrieves the information the requester is authorized to receive from various discrete medical record systems, then normalizes and aggregates the retrieved information. In a particular embodiment, the system also denormalizes the data (e.g., converts the data to the local format and terms of the requester) before transmitting the retrieved data to the requester.

  • Publication number: 20230234869
Abstract: The disclosure provides two integrated methods for the production of potable water from seawater or other brackish waters using chemical forced precipitation. The process is closed loop. It recycles process reactants and produces commercially valuable potable water and salts. The technology uses a computer software method of process variable control that maintains the chemical forced precipitation process salt, solvent, and water concentrations as required to optimize water production. The process fortuitously requires less energy than other water production processes and can utilize solar hot water heating or waste heat from other combustion and seawater for heating and cooling energy sources.

  • Publication number: 20230138213
Abstract: An adaptive satellite communication system uses an interference aware scheduler to select slot transmission parameters for transmitting a message. When scheduling transmission of a message by a particular terminal the scheduler determines interference parameters of any external communication systems for the transmitter location and intended transmission time period. The scheduler then uses this to estimate if a particular combination of slot transmission parameters are likely to cause interference and can then adjust the slot transmission parameters to reduce potential interference. The scheduler may use an optimisation method which is configured to select slots based subject to constraints related to latency, probability of transmission failure/success and interference.

  • Patent number: 11640230
Abstract: A method for visualizing corporate hierarchies is provided. The method comprises receiving a selection of a first company stored in a database and retrieving, from the database, an ultimate parent company of the first company. All other known companies with the same ultimate parent company as the first company are then retrieved from the database. An interactive hierarchical tree diagram is displayed in an interface, wherein the first company, the ultimate parent company, and the other known companies with the same ultimate parent company are displayed as nodes according to parent/child relationships among the companies. Also displayed in the interface, adjacent to the tree diagram, is a collapsible nested tree list comprising the first company, the ultimate parent company, and the other known companies with the same ultimate parent company. The tree diagram and nested tree list have synchronized responses to user input.

  • Publication number: 20230106440
Abstract: Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are commonly used to assess patients with known or suspected pathologies of the lungs and liver. In particular, identification and quantification of possibly malignant regions identified in these high-resolution images is essential for accurate and timely diagnosis. However, careful quantitative assessment of lung and liver lesions is tedious and time consuming. This disclosure describes an automated end-to-end pipeline for accurate lesion detection and segmentation.

  • Publication number: 20230103045
Abstract: Apparatus and method for treating a substrate, for example texturing a substrate. In some embodiments, a masking material is applied to a surface of the substrate in a predetermined pattern, the surface thereafter contacted with an etchant that removes the masking material. Contacting the surface with the etchant produces multiple co-located textures. In other embodiments, the masking step can be eliminated, and the etchant is applied in a predetermined pattern to produce multiple co-located textures. In still other embodiments, the substrate has a chemical composition, and the substrate is exposed to a leachant that leaches at least one constituent of the chemical composition to produce a substrate with a varying chemical composition at the substrate surface.
