  • Publication number: 20060253379
Abstract: A passive liquidity order and related market center and process are disclosed which allows market participants to trade without displaying any part of their order to the public order book, while still directly interacting with the public marketplace according to price/time priority rules that give preference to displayed trading interest over nondisplayed trading interest at the same price level. The passive liquidity order is a nondisplayed order type which allows participants to provide liquidity to the marketplace without publicly divulging their trading intentions.

  • Publication number: 20060244663
Abstract: An antenna is specially adapted for a portable electronic device, such as a hand-held computer or cell phone, having a conductive metal housing surrounding a radio transceiver. A rectangular recess is formed in one surface of the housing, and an elongated printed circuit board is placed along an inner wall of the housing. A coaxial cable coupled to the transceiver enters the housing, and an outer shield of the cable is connected to the inner wall of the housing along a substantial length of the cable. A center conductor of the cable is connected to a conductive layer of the printed circuit board. The recess is enclosed by a window that is substantially transparent to RF energy. RF energy radiated from the printed circuit board is capacitively coupled to a sheet of conductive material, and the RF energy is then radiated from the conductive sheet.

  • Patent number: 7127676
Abstract: Browsing in collaboration space is done by presenting to a user an interface to collaboration space. Responsive to the user opening a main window, presenting a selector and results of a search in the main window. Responsive to selection of the selector, a separate quick browse window is opened and objects searched to generate a set of hits which are linked to the main window without losing context. Context is displayed in the quick browse window in a hypertext markup language format, with an entry for each item in the set of hits. Responsive to user selection of an item in the quick browse window, paging controls redirect the main window to a linked page for displaying the quick browse window while the user browses target pages and accesses local settings of the target page to display context of the target page.

  • Publication number: 20060179768
Abstract: A thin panel wall assembly with support members having channels and narrow slot-like openings for receiving spacers and connectors such as brackets. Both the channels and the spacers have T-shaped sectional configurations. Once spacers are inserted at the top of the support members, the connectors are inserted. The connectors are then supported by the spacers and, depending upon the length of the spacers, the vertical distance from a supporting floor to the connectors is also determined. Multiple spacers and connectors may be inserted into the support members. The connectors include widened rear portions which are entrapped by the support members and prevents the connectors from falling out of the support members.

  • Publication number: 20060168933
Abstract: A blade with an easily and economically maintainable cutting edge for cutting vegetation in a rotary cutting machine such as in a lawnmower or brush cutter is described. A blade assembly is comprised of an elongated blade with replaceable inserts that enhance the cutting and mulching functions of the rotary cutting machine. The replaceable inserts are installed at a skew angle and provide an easily maintainable cutting edge that has geometrically shaped fingers that provide both a chopping and a slicing action that enhances the cutting performance of the blade assembly. Mulching blades re-cut the vegetation severed by the shaped fingers into smaller pieces before the vegetation exits the rotary cutting machine to minimize or eliminate the need to pick up the cut vegetation while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing final cut.

  • Publication number: 20060164208
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a universal key that enables a user to have access to any type of secured portal, both physical and electronic, in a wireless, hands-free, distance-independent manner without requiring contact or line of sight access between the key and the secured portal. The universal key is not distance-dependent, and each secured portal can be provided with its own prescribed activation range, if desired. Some portals may be provided with long range activation, such as 50 feet, while other portals may be provided with short range activation of a few feet or less. The type of portal being secured and the range of activation may be selected by the user and is not limited by the universal key. In addition, the universal key will provide access to the secured portals in a hands-free fashion so that the user need not push any buttons or take any other action in order to obtain access to the portal.

  • Publication number: 20060105299
Abstract: A simulation system (20) facilitates training for trainees (26) subject to multi-directional threats. A method for providing a scenario (211) for use in the simulation system (20) utilizes a scenario provision process (202) executable on a computing system (26). The process (202) calls for choosing a background image (234) for the scenario (211), and selecting a video clip(s) (386) of one or more actors (266) from a database (203) of video clips (386). The video clip(s) (386) are filmed using a green or blue screen technique, and include a mask portion (394) of the actor (266) and a transparent portion (396). The video clip(s) (386) are combined with the background image (234) to create the scenario (211), with the mask portion (394) forming a foreground image over the background image (234). The scenario (211) is displayed on a display of the simulation system (20).

  • Publication number: 20060088306
Abstract: A camera with a built-in electronic flash has a spring-driven high energy lever that is pivoted for initiating shutter opening and for translating a switch closing member to close a normally open shutter-flash synchronization switch. When the switch reopens, it translates the switch closing member in reverse. Then, during film winding a metering cam is rotated to pivot the high energy lever in reverse. The switch closing member is adapted to be pivoted temporarily of the way of the high energy lever to allow the high energy lever to be returned past the switch closing member to an original or home position.

  • Patent number: 7023477
Abstract: A camera and method automatically exclude electronic images corresponding to film images in a loaded film unit from first in-first out overwriting. In the method, a set of latent images are captured in the camera. A first subset of electronic images that correspond to the latent images are captured, during the capturing of the latent images. A second subset of electronic images are captured independent of the capturing of the latent images. The memory of the camera is filled to capacity with a plurality of the electronic images. After the memory is filled, the electronic images of the second subset in the memory are replaced on a first in-first out basis and the electronic images of the first subset are retained in the memory.

  • Patent number: 6973618
Abstract: Collaboration space object model provides for a place consisting of rooms created by users interacting with a client browser. A skin (i.e., theme) may be used as template for creating places. PlaceBots (i.e., agents) provide for accessing, processing and managing data in a place. HTML may be dragged and dropped into a place, where it is parsed and corresponding place fields created. MS Excel or Word documents may be dragged and dropped into a place, which creates a corresponding form, and users may create new documents using that form. A place type comprising a template of an entire place, or collaboration space, may be used to create new places. Changes made to a place may be reported, subject to security controls, by selecting what's new. Task fields are provided allowing web browser creation of forms for work flow. Place enabled objects are provided for synchronous communications. A quick browse feature provides a simplified format for browser windows based on selection of HTML links.
