Abstract: An inventory rack system and a mobile inventory rack apparatus are disclosed. The mobile inventory rack apparatus includes an inventory conveyor configured to translate articles of inventory and a receiving system including a requirement indicator disposed along the inventory conveyor. The requirement indicator has an inventory required state when not in contact with an article of inventory. The mobile inventory rack apparatus further includes a supply system including a pair of spaced stoppers disposed along the inventory conveyor. Each stopper has an extended position preventing translation of the articles of inventory and a retracted position allowing translation of the articles of inventory. The inventory conveyor is configured to receive at least one article of inventory when the requirement indicator is in the inventory required state and to allow removal of at least one article of inventory when one of the stoppers is in the retracted position.

  • Publication number: 20160217370
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for developing parallel networks. Parallel network design may comprise a general purpose language (GPC) code portion and a network description (ND) portion. GPL tools may be utilized in designing the network. The GPL tools may be configured to produce network specification language (NSL) engine adapted to generate hardware optimized machine executable code corresponding to the network description. The developer may be enabled to describe a parameter of the network. The GPC portion may be automatically updated consistent with the network parameter value. The GPC byte code may be introspected by the NSL engine to provide the underlying source code that may be automatically reinterpreted to produce the hardware optimized machine code. The optimized machine code may be executed in parallel.

  • Publication number: 20160128863
Abstract: Devices for altering the flow of air in a respiratory cavity such as the nostrils of the nose. These methods and devices may be useful for affecting a physiologic benefit in patients suffering from a variety of medical disorders, including snoring and sleep apnea. The devices are typically removable devices that may be placed in both nostrils to increase resistance to airflow within the respiratory cavity. Resistance to expiration may be selectively increased relative to inspiration. The nasal devices may also increases patency of the nares. Any of these devices may be configured to achieve positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) in a subject wearing the device.

  • Patent number: 9311596
Abstract: A simple format is disclosed and referred to as Elementary Network Description (END). The format can fully describe a large-scale neuronal model and embodiments of software or hardware engines to simulate such a model efficiently. The architecture of such neuromorphic engines is optimal for high-performance parallel processing of spiking networks with spike-timing dependent plasticity. Methods for managing memory in a processing system are described whereby memory can be allocated among a plurality of elements and rules configured for each element such that the parallel execution of the spiking networks is most optimal.

  • Patent number: 9171114
Abstract: A method of managing the configuration, design parameters, and functionality of an integrated circuit (IC) design using a hardware description language (HDL). Instructions can be added, subtracted, or generated by the designer interactively during the design process, and customized HDL descriptions of the IC design are generated through the use of scripts based on the user-edited instruction set and inputs. The customized HDL description can then be used as the basis for generating “makefiles” for purposes of simulation and/or logic level synthesis. The method further affords the ability to generate an HDL model of a complete device, such as a microprocessor or DSP. A computer program implementing the aforementioned method and a hardware system for running the computer program are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20150286698
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of providing a reactive digital personal assistant. A reactive digital assistant is a digital assistant that is capable of having a reaction. For instance, the reaction may be provided visually and/or audibly. The reaction may be specified by personal assistant logic on a device that provides the digital personal assistant, by an application on the device that communicates with the personal assistant logic, or by a Web service with which the application communicates. The personal assistant logic may retrieve media representation(s) that correspond to the reaction from a store on the device, or the application may retrieve the media representation(s) from the Web service. The personal assistant logic may notify the application of a status of the digital personal assistant once the media representation(s) are retrieved.
