  • Patent number: 10300505
Abstract: A jetting device and/or fluid module include a module body defining a passageway extending through the module body and also partially defining a fluid chamber, a nozzle supported by the module body, a valve element at least partially within the fluid chamber, a biasing element contacting the valve element and also contacting the module body, and a sealing member contacting the periphery of the valve element and configured to partially define the fluid chamber. The nozzle defines a fluid outlet that is in fluid communication with the fluid chamber. The valve element has an upper portion outside of the fluid chamber that is adapted for contact with the drive pin, and the biasing element is configured to apply a spring force to the valve element. The valve element is configured to cause a droplet of the fluid to be jetted from the fluid outlet when the valve element is moved in the direction toward the nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20180330574
Abstract: A system has a database that stores a plurality of audio/visual clips. Further, the system has a memory device that has a buffer with a threshold quantity of memory blocks. In addition, the system has a processor that receives the plurality of audio/visual clips in an ordered sequence for a virtual sports game. The processor also writes one or more frames of a first audio/visual clip to the buffer. Further, the processor allocates the threshold quantity of memory blocks such that the processing speed of writing one or more frames of a second audio/visual clip to the buffer is faster than a broadcast frame rate for broadcasting the first audio/visual clip. In addition, the processor writes the one or more frames of the second audio/visual clip to the allocated threshold quantity of memory blocks of the buffer.

  • Publication number: 20180043388
Abstract: An improved pneumatic jetting valve includes a housing with first and second chambers. A pneumatic piston is enclosed between the chambers. First and second solenoid valves are configured to respectively supply air pressure to the chambers and to exhaust the chambers. A controller is operable to regulate the pressurization and venting of the chambers. The controller controls the timing of control signals for the first and second solenoid valves to control the overlap time during which both the first and second chambers are pressurized. By controlling this overlap time, the controller controls the speed of the drive pin of the jetting valve and thereby the speed at which the valve closes to jet a droplet of material. This allows a valve speed to be selected that is most appropriate for the viscosity of the material being jetted. Numerous new methods for utilizing the improved jetting valve and system are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20160354791
Abstract: A jet cartridge for jetting fluid material includes a body adapted to receive fluid material, and a fluid passage defined within the body and extending along a longitudinal axis thereof. At least a portion of the fluid passage extends obliquely relative to the longitudinal axis. The body is adapted to receive heat from a heating element and to transfer the heat to the fluid material flowing through the fluid passage. A method of jetting fluid material with a jet dispenser including a jet cartridge includes receiving fluid material into the jet cartridge, directing the fluid material through the jet cartridge along a longitudinal axis thereof and obliquely relative to the longitudinal axis, heating the fluid material directed through fluid cartridge to a target temperature, maintaining the target temperature as the fluid material enters a nozzle, and jetting the heated fluid material through the nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20160322224
Abstract: The present invention provides methods for using single source organometallic precursors in the fabrication of polycrystalline Group III-Group V compounds, preferably semiconductor compounds. The present invention teaches how to select organometallic ligands in single-source precursors in order to control the stoichiometry of the corresponding Group III-Group V compounds derived from these precursors. The present invention further teaches how to anneal precursors in the presence of one or more flux agents in order to increase the crystalline grain size of polycrystalline Group III-Group V compounds derived from organometallic precursors. This helps to provide Group III-Group V semiconductors with better electronic properties. The flux layer also helps to control the stoichiometry of the Group III-Group V compounds.
