Abstract: Techniques and systems are provided for dynamically adjusting virtual content provided by an extended reality system. In some examples, a system determines a level of distraction of a user of the extended reality system due to virtual content provided by the extended reality system. The system determines whether the level of distraction of the user due to the virtual content exceeds or is less than a threshold level of distraction, where the threshold level of distraction is determined based at least in part on one or more environmental factors associated with a real world environment in which the user is located. The system also adjusts one or more characteristics of the virtual content based on the determination of whether the level of distraction of the user due to the virtual content exceeds or is less than the threshold level of distraction.

Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to methods and apparatus for firearm safety mechanisms, visual safety indicators, and related techniques. A firearm includes a handle comprising one or more buttons disposed at least partially within a surface of the handle, such that the one or more buttons can be in contact with an operator's hand when the operator grasps the handle; a safety mechanism in mechanical communication with the trigger. The safety mechanism comprises: a first position that blocks actuation of the trigger; and a second position that does not block actuation of the trigger; and at least one processor configured to: upon determining an input code matches a stored code, transmits a signal to the safety mechanism to change the safety mechanism from the first position to the second position so that the firearm can be fired by the operator.

Abstract: Methods and systems for generating and distributing data visualizations are provided. One method includes displaying a user interface including a canvas and a card builder toolset, the card builder toolset including a plurality of selectable options, each of the plurality of selectable options responsive to user input to present a definition screen including one or more card definition parameter input fields. The method further includes receiving user input into the one or more card definition parameter input fields for each of the plurality of selectable options and, in response, defining at least one aspect of a card to be included within a user dashboard presented on the canvas. The method also includes rendering a card within the canvas in accordance with parameters defined by the user input, the card being included within a dashboard to be displayed to users.

Abstract: Techniques relating to streaming video are disclosed. These techniques include identifying one or more streaming video sessions for one or more users based on a plurality of events relating to streaming video for the one or more users. The techniques further include storing data for the one or more streaming video sessions in an electronic database, based on the plurality of events, identifying a plurality of metadata relating to the events, and determining, based on a threshold value, a time to store at least a portion of the plurality of metadata in the electronic database, the time occurring after the storing the data for the one or more streaming video sessions. The techniques further include responding to a query for metrics relating to the one or more streaming video sessions by aggregating at least a portion of the stored data.

The engineered enveloped vector comprises an engineered envelope comprising: (a) a viral envelope protein and optionally, (b) a non-viral membrane-bound protein. Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of energy recovery from hot exhaust gases, a type of system that is widely used in industrial generator assemblies to produce steam used in industrial processes or cold to cool perishables or to cool environments. The system according to the present invention applies to the recovery of energy from exhaust gases in small generator assemblies, smaller than 10 MW, and comprises a turbo (1) connected to the exhaust gas outlet (2) in a small power plant generator assembly (3) and in which said turbo (1) is connected to a hydraulic pump (4), which generates pressure and transmits this pressure to a hydraulic pressure accumulator (5) which, in turn, sends hydraulic fluid under pressure for a hydraulic motor (6) of constant speed, which moves a pulley (7), and said pulley (7), in turn, moves another pulley (8), installed directly on the alternator shaft (9) of the generator assembly (3).

One method includes maintaining, by a processor of an information handling device, a list of trusted callers encoded in a memory and automatically answering a communication session received by the information handling device from a trusted caller in the encoded list of trusted callers without receiving input from a user of the information handling device accepting the communication session on the information handling device. Systems, apparatus, and computer program products that include hardware and/or software that can perform the methods for automatically answering communication sessions received from trusted callers are also disclosed herein.
