Abstract: A method of operating a storage system having solid-state storage memory with segment level heterogeneity is provided. The method includes mapping data into data segments, and mapping the data segments into data stripes. The method includes writing a first data stripe from a first data segment across a first plurality of blades of the storage system comprising heterogeneous total amounts of the solid-state storage memory per blade, and writing a second data stripe from the first data segment across a second plurality of blades of the storage system.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for data mesh-based environmental augmentation are presented. Attribute data associated with a user may be received from a plurality of attribute sources. A portion of the attribute data may include real-time data. A portion of the real-time data indicative of an identity of the user may be identified. The identity of the user may be authenticated with respect to the real-time data by analyzing the identified portion of the real-time data. Based on the authentication of the identity of the user, a user activity being performed by the user may be identified based on the real-time data, and the user activity may be augmented according to a user setting.

Abstract: A system and method of at least partially forming reinforced packages. The method comprises moving a construct in a machine direction on a construct conveyor. The construct conveyor can comprise a primary lug belt with a primary lug, the construct can be disposed on the primary lug belt, and the moving the construct can comprise moving the primary lug belt in the machine direction to push the construct in the machine direction. The method further can comprise positioning a liner on the construct conveyor so that the liner at least partially extends over the construct and moving the liner in the machine direction on a secondary lug belt of the construct conveyor. The secondary lug belt can comprise a secondary lug and the moving the liner can comprise moving the secondary lug belt in the machine direction to push the liner in the machine direction.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for audio detection are described. A security and automation system may include a control system that includes a hub device and one or more user interfaces. The control system is configured to receive, at a microphone included in the control system, an audio signal from a zone within the premises. In some examples, the control system may be configured to communicate with nodes of the security and automation system using one or more wireless access technologies and one or more wired access technologies. The control system may determine, at a first processor of the control system, that a set of characteristics of the audio signal satisfies a threshold. The control system may transmit a notification of an event in the zone of the premises based on determining that the set of characteristics of the audio signal satisfies the threshold.

Abstract: A system to identify and update expired payment cards may include servers that can perform operations including determining that a transaction performed with first payment card is denied due to expiration of the first payment card, determining that the expired first payment card is replaced with a second payment card, and sending information associated with the second payment card to a merchant payment server for performing the transaction.

Abstract: A storage system is provided. The storage system include a primary storage node that includes a primary processing device. The primary storage node is communicatively coupled to a secondary storage node. The secondary storage node includes a secondary processing device and a set of non-volatile memory modules. The primary processing device is to identify one or more storage operations to be performed on the set of non-volatile memory modules of the secondary storage node and transmit one or more instructions to the secondary storage node to perform the one or more storage operations, the one or more storage operations performed by the secondary processing device.

Abstract: Correlating captured packets with synthetic application testing is provided. A device captures packets associated with a plurality of processes that include one or more synthetic transactions and one or more transactions responsive to user input. A packet capture data set can lack process identifiers (PIDs). The device captures first finger-printing data including first PIDs and attributes associated with the plurality of processes, and second finger-printing data comprising second PIDs corresponding to the one or more synthetic transactions. The device applies a first filter generated from the second PIDs in the second finger-printing data to a first finger-printing data set, and a second filter generated from the filtered attributes of a filtered finger-printing data set to the packet capture data set. The device provides a filtered packet capture data set to manage a performance of one or more processes of the plurality of processes.

Abstract: A storage system is provided. The storage system includes a first storage cluster, the first storage cluster having a first plurality of storage nodes coupled together and a second storage cluster, the second storage cluster having a second plurality of storage nodes coupled together. The system includes an interconnect coupling the first storage cluster and the second storage cluster and a first pathway coupling the interconnect to each storage cluster. The system includes a second pathway, the second pathway coupling at least one fabric module within a chassis to each blade within the chassis.

Abstract: A high water alarm system for a water containing or wastewater treatment system including a main body containing a generally cylindrical outer and inner wall, a bottom portion and an open top portion, a battery container secured within the main body portion, and a high water sensor secured through the main body, which sensor is connected to an alarm located within the system. Another embodiment adds a gas filter and a vent valve seal to the high water alarm system.

Abstract: A method for preserving a media access control (MAC) address of a virtual server is provided. The method includes assigning a physical computing resource to a virtual server, assigning a physical storage memory resource to the virtual server, and assigning a physical network resource to the virtual server. The method includes assigning a virtual MAC address to the virtual server, the virtual MAC address to remain with the virtual server despite reassignment of one or more of the physical computing resource, the physical storage memory resource or the physical network resource, wherein at least one method operation is performed by a processor. A computing and storage system is also provided.

Abstract: A system for dilating tissue includes a retractor having a pair of retractor blades that are movable towards and away from each other to retract tissue of a patient. The retractor blades have longitudinal guide channels. A first pin is attachable to a first vertebra. The system also includes an interbody spacer insertion device that has a guide channel for slidably engaging the longitudinal channel guide and is releasably attachable to an interbody spacer. The interbody spacer insertion device is configured to guide the interbody spacer into a space between adjacent vertebrae. A method for using the system includes advancing the retractor blades towards first and second vertebrae. The first retractor blade is attached to the first vertebra using the first pin and the retractor blades are moved away from each other. The interbody spacer insertion device is translated towards the vertebrae to position the interbody spacer between the vertebrae.

Abstract: A roll-out cart warranty processing system includes a mobile device app and a server. The mobile device app prompts a resident to take at least one image of the roll-out cart, particularly any damaged portion(s) of the roll-out cart. The mobile device app then uploads the at least one image to a server. The server analyzes the at least one image to determine whether the roll-out cart is covered by warranty. The server also analyzes the at least one image to determine whether any identifiable damage would be covered by warranty.

Abstract: A pallet sled includes a pair of tines extending forward from a base. A camera is mounted on the pallet sled and is configured to record images, such as video, as the pallet sled brings pallets of items from a truck into a store. At least one processor is used to analyze the images from the pallet sled. The images are used to determine inventory levels in the store, conditions of the store, conditions of the pathways of the pallet sled. An accelerometer on the pallet sled detects hard braking and accidents.

Abstract: A method of distributed file deletion, performed by a storage system, is provided. The method includes receiving, at the storage system, a request to delete a directory and contents of the directory and adding the directory to a first set, listed in a memory in the storage system. The method includes operating on the first set, by examining each directory in the first set to identify subdirectories, adding each identified subdirectory to the first set as a directory, and adding each examined directory to a second set listed in the memory. The method includes deleting in a distributed manner across the storage system without concern for order, contents of directories, and the directories listed in the second set.

Abstract: The disclosed apparatus may include a capacitive proximity sensor that increases capacitance in response to proximity of an object; a reference capacitor in parallel with the capacitive proximity sensor; a switch that connects and disconnects the capacitive proximity sensor and the reference capacitor; and a capacitance sensing block that generates a capacitance signal based on a capacitance of the reference capacitor when the switch is in a disconnecting state and based on the capacitance of the reference capacitor and a capacitance of the capacitive proximity sensor when the switch is in a connecting state. The bottommost exterior surface of a cover substrate may be disposed over a display surface of an electronic display to protect the display surface from damage.

Abstract: The invention relates to pyrazole derivatives, to their use in medicine, to compositions containing them, to processes for their preparation and to intermediates used in such processes. More particularly the invention relates to HbS modulators of formula (I) or tautomers thereof, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts of said modulators or tautomers thereof, wherein X, Y, R2 and R3 are as defined in the description. HbS modulators are potentially useful in the treatment of a wide range of disorders, including sickle cell disease (SCD).
