  • Patent number: 8624564
Abstract: A method of estimating rotor speed of a generator 106 having a rotor 110 and a stator 112 is provided. The method may provide a source current to the stator 112, determine a relative rotor speed based on a sensor signal provided by a rotor speed sensor 130, determine a relative rotor position corresponding to the relative rotor speed, determine an absolute rotor position based on the sensor signal and phase currents, and calibrate the sensor signal based on an offset between the relative rotor position and the absolute rotor position.

  • Patent number: 8091769
Abstract: A carton blank (10) for a carton is formed from a sheet material and has a plurality of foldably connected panels which form the walls of the corresponding carton. The panels include main panels (11-14) separated by a plurality of longitudinal folds (16-19) and arranged to form pairs of opposing side walls in said corresponding carton. A first pair of main panels (11, 13) are each foldably connected at either end to a respective end panel (22, 23, 26, 27), said end panels being arranged to form opposing end walls in said corresponding carton with each end wall including first and second end panels. A second pair of main panels (12, 14) are each foldably connected at either end to a transverse edge of a respective end flap (36-39).

  • Patent number: 8009055
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting and indicating high-voltage presences on a machine. In one embodiment a high-voltage indication system is disclosed and may include a voltage detector configured to compare the voltage level associated with an element with a threshold voltage value, and provide an indication signal when the voltage level associated with the element is greater than the threshold voltage value. The system may also include an indicator powered by a separate power source independent from the voltage detector. The indicator may be configured to detect the indication signal provided by the voltage detector, and provide one or more warning signals in response to the indication signal.

  • Patent number: 7994798
Abstract: A method of testing power converter current sensors is disclosed. The method may include receiving a current sensor test request and receiving measured currents from current measurements from the at least one current sensor, based on the test request. The method may further include comparing the measured current of the sensor with a stored profile and determining whether a fault exists in each current sensor being tested. The method may also include providing a user with a test report.

  • Publication number: 20070120694
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting high-voltage levels associated with a work machine. In one embodiment a high-voltage detection system is disclosed and includes a threshold detector configured to determine a voltage level associated with an element, determine whether the voltage level associated with the element is greater than a predetermined threshold value, and provide a threshold indicator if the voltage level associated with the element is greater than the predetermined threshold value. The system also includes a controller coupled to the threshold detector via an isolation device. The controller is configured to detect the threshold indicator and provide one or more warning signals in response to the threshold indicator.

  • Publication number: 20070069678
Abstract: An integrated motor monitoring system includes a housing and a motor disposed within the housing, the motor being configured to provide a power output. The integrated motor monitoring system also includes at least one monitoring device communicatively coupled to the motor and configured to monitor an operational aspect of the motor and generate a data signal associated with the operational aspect. The integrated motor monitoring system further includes a controller, disposed within the housing and in communication with the at least one monitoring device, and configured to energize a plurality of field conductors of the motor and receive the data signal from the at least one monitoring device over at least one of the plurality of field conductors.
