  • Patent number: 9043375
Abstract: A method and system for detecting plagiarism of software source code is disclosed. In one embodiment, a database exists of program elements that have previously been found to be matching within the source code for two different programs. This embodiment searches the Internet for occurrences of these matching program elements to determine how many times they appear and thus whether they are commonly used or not. The elements and their associated number of hits are placed in a spreadsheet for further observation and manipulation. One of skill in the art will see that this invention also applies to other kinds of text documents.

  • Publication number: 20140312897
Abstract: Systems and methods for correcting magnetic resonance (MR) data are provided. One method includes receiving the MR data and correcting errors present in the MR data due to non-uniformities in magnetic field gradients used to generate the diffusion weighted MR signals. The method also includes correcting errors present in the MR data due to concomitant gradient fields present in the magnetic field gradients by using one or more gradient terms. At least one of the gradient terms is corrected based on the correction of errors present in the MR data due to the non-uniformities in the magnetic field gradients.

  • Patent number: 8671206
Abstract: A system, a method and a device are each configured for dynamic assignment of survivability services to communication devices (such as, e.g. tablets, smart phones, mobile phones, laptops or other types of mobile communication devices) based on the device's current location and network context. Survivability services provide session and service continuity in case a centralized or cloud based session management service that may be hosted by one or more remote computer devices, such as for example servers, is not reachable due to network failure or service failure.

  • Patent number: 8495586
Abstract: A software tool allows a user to filter out the results produced by a software source code correlation program that is executed on sets of software source code files. The tool allows the user to discard elements of source code that are not relevant to the analysis without requiring the user to run the correlation program multiple times.

  • Patent number: 8380481
Abstract: A system and method is described for connecting a logic circuit simulation to a hardware peripheral that includes a computer running software for communicating data to and from the hardware peripheral. The software transmits the data received from the hardware peripheral to the device being simulated by the logic circuit simulation. The computer also transmits the data received from the device being simulated by the electronic circuit simulation to the hardware peripheral. This allows the user to test the device being simulated using real hardware for input and output instead of simulated hardware.

  • Patent number: 8301671
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for providing removal of replicated objects based on garbage collection is presented. Data objects are replicated from a primary source to a backup device. A notification is received from a garbage collection process for at least one data object replicated from the primary source to the backup device, the notification indicating that the data object should be deleted. The data object having the notification is deleted from the backup destination.

  • Publication number: 20110131228
Abstract: A Methodology for identifying secondary concepts that are included in one or more documents in a collection of documents is disclosed. Training information is manually created from a subset of a collection of documents and used by a primary concept identification function to process textual information contained in the documents included in the collection of documents to identify primary concepts included in the collection of documents. Each of the primary concepts included in the collection of documents is used as input to a secondary concept identification function which results in the identification of secondary concepts included in each of the primary concepts. A query is generated and used as input to both the primary and secondary concept identification functions and the result of both the operation of both of these functions on the query is compared to the identified secondary concepts.
