  • Patent number: 11922340
Abstract: A system and method are provided for generating and transmitting push notifications in connection with a transport service. Push notification triggers can be configured by a user via an application-based user interface corresponding to an application specific to the transport service. A user profile associated with the user can be accessed to detect one or more preconfigured push notification triggers, and thereafter transport service activity can be dynamically monitored for trigger events. Such trigger events can cause the system to generate and transmit push notifications to the user's mobile device.

  • Patent number: 11436899
Abstract: Described herein are methods and systems for visualization of a carbon footprint for one or more real-world objects or events. A server computing device identifies a carbon footprint value for at least one real-world object or event. The server computing device determines an amount of greenhouse gas that corresponds to the carbon footprint value. The server computing device generates instructions for operation of a gas visualization device coupled to the server computing device based upon the amount of greenhouse gas. The server computing device transmits the instructions to the gas visualization device. The gas visualization device executes the instructions to produce an amount of gas (i.e., fog or vapor) based upon the received instructions.

  • Patent number: 9024170
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a circuit for a MIDI controller that may be used with keyboard and drawbar interfaces provided by a variety of models of drawbar-type electric organs. Such a circuit may be connected to numerous different configurations of drawbar-type organ interfaces having differing numbers of keys, switches, and drawbars, as well as stand-alone units having only keys and drawbars, only foot pedals and drawbars, or only drawbars. Embodiments of the present invention further provide a method for determining the position of each drawbar of a drawbar-type organ interface using binary logic.

  • Publication number: 20120261258
Abstract: Various embodiments of a technique in which test strip lots can be prepared without requiring a user to input any calibration information before performing a test measurement with a test strip from the test strip lots. In a first aspect, a method of manufacturing a plurality of test strips by adjusting amount of mediators and working electrode area is described. In another aspect, a method of preparing a reagent ink by adjusting the density of the reagent ink to substantially match a target density is described. In a further aspect, a method using a high numerical Shores Hardness squeegee in conjunction with high pressure is provided. In a further aspect, a method of performing an analyte measurement with a test meter, the test meter being configured to not receive a calibration input, and where the test strip manufactured to any one of the methods or techniques described and illustrated herein.

  • Patent number: 8290923
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for hosting within a search engine, large-scale heterogeneous repositories of searchable and navigable content. Customers of the hosting platform are customers wanting to outsource the management of their searchable content. Content domain experts from each customer independently define a taxonomy of categories and attributes for their structured content that form a hierarchical set of nodes (a directed graph) that are mapped to a common physical search engine infrastructure. The mapping algorithm that maps unique attributes across potentially very different subject domains onto the same physical infrastructure is introduced. Once the physical structure is created, the search engine can use it for searching or navigating just within one customer's domain or users can search across multiple customer domains.

  • Publication number: 20110290668
Abstract: An electrochemical-based analytical test strip for the determination of an analyte (such as glucose) in a bodily fluid sample (for example, whole blood) includes an electrically insulating base layer, a patterned conductor layer disposed over the electrically-insulating layer, and a patterned insulation layer, with an electrode exposure window therethrough, disposed over the patterned conductor layer. The patterned conductive layer of the electrochemical-based analytical test strip includes at least one working electrode and a counter/reference electrode. In addition, at least a portion of the electrode exposure window is configured to expose a working electrode exposed portion and a counter/reference electrode exposed portion, with the working electrode exposed portion being rectangular in shape and the counter/reference electrode exposed portion being one of a crossroads shape and an at least six-sided portion of a crossroads shape.

  • Patent number: 7653492
Abstract: This invention describes a method of reducing the effect of interfering compounds in a bodily fluid when measuring an analyte using an electrochemical sensor. In particular, the present method is applicable to electrochemical sensors where the sensor includes a substrate, first and second working electrodes, and a reference electrode and either the first and second or only the second working electrode include regions which are bare of reagent. In this invention, an algorithm is described with mathematically corrects for the interference effect using the test strip embodiments of the present invention.
