  • Publication number: 20050132714
Abstract: A combination for connecting a hot sheet and a cold sheet of a nozzle liner in spaced relationship apart includes a stud having a main body wherein the stud is attached to the hot sheet and a portion of the stud extends through an opening in the cold sheet. A support spaces the hot sheet and the cold sheet apart. A generally planar fastening collar is affixed to the portion of the stud extending through the cold sheet. A first length is defined by the portion of the stud extending through the cold sheet to a distal end of the stud. A second length is defined between a first planar surface of the collar facing the cold sheet and a second planar surface of the collar opposite the first surface. Each of the first and second lengths is less is less than a diameter of the main body of the stud.

  • Publication number: 20050100201
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for monitoring parameter selection during the operation of a technical device, in particular an imaging diagnostic device. The device comprises an input interface (1) for a parameter selected by an operator of the technical device, a comparator (2) which compares the selected parameters with the standard parameters, and an output device (3) which, in the event of a deviation of the selected parameters by a predefinable minimum degree from the closest standard parameters, outputs information regarding the deviation for display on a display unit (4) and/or outputs the closest standard parameters for adjustment of the technical device. Improved results are achieved with the present device and the associated method during operation of the technical device.

  • Patent number: 6732231
Abstract: This invention is configured to create and use a special data structure containing a data storage device's identification information for a storage device that will be duplicated. Upon such duplication, the special data is stored in a predetermined location on another device receiving the copied data and a flag bit is set to indicate whether or not the information in the data structure should be used to respond to a host inquiry regarding the identification of the storage device. Without reconfiguring the host's operating software, the system employs a method to respond to and satisfy a host inquiry for the storage device's identification information by employing the special data structure. This is done to avoid host conflict errors that might result from a conflict between identification information being replicated from the storage device and the other storage device to where its data is copied.

  • Patent number: 6665370
Abstract: In a spiral scan cone beam computed tomography method and apparatus, the output data are divided into sub-segments being shorter than the length required for the reconstruction of a CT image. Segment images having inclined image plane relative to the system axis are reconstructed for the sub-segments. A signal reproducing the time curve of the periodic motion is acquired during the scanning. A z-position on the system axis and a time position with respect to the periodic motion are allocated to the segment images. Segment images belonging to a desired range of z-positions and a desired range of time positions are selected such that the corresponding sub-segments have an overall length adequate for the reconstruction of a CT image. The selected segment images are at least indirectly combined into a resulting CT image with respect to a target image plane.

  • Publication number: 20030072419
Abstract: In a computed tomography method and apparatus, having a subject with a conical ray beam emanating from a focus and with a matrix-like detector array for detecting the ray beam, while the focus is moved on a spiral path around a system axis relative to the subject, and the detector array supplies output data corresponding to the received radiation. The output data respectively supplied during the motion of the focus on a spiral segment and having a length adequate for the reconstruction of a CT image are divided into output data with respect to sub-segments, with the length of each sub-segments being shorter than the length required for the reconstruction of a CT image.
