Abstract: A combined primary label and secondary label comprises a first piece of paper, a first release coating disposed on a portion of the first piece of paper, a second piece of paper, a second release coating different from the first release coating and disposed on a portion of the second piece of paper. The combined primary and secondary label further comprises an adhesive layer disposed between the first and second pieces of paper such that (i) a primary label can be peeled away with at least some adhesive of the adhesive layer from the second release coating disposed on the portion of the second piece of paper, and (ii) a secondary label can be peeled away with at least some adhesive of the same adhesive layer from the first release coating disposed on the portion of the first piece of paper.

Abstract: A friction-reducing additive composition that contains a polymeric mixture containing (a) a first polymeric friction reducer that comprises an anionic friction reducer having a molecular weight above 15 million and (b) a second polymeric friction reducer that is either a nonionic or an amphoteric friction reducer. This combination of friction reducers exhibits superior suspensive characteristics for hydrophobically coated proppants in high TDS brines, such as those that reuse fracturing fluids or backwaters. Optionally, gaseous nitrogen can be generated downhole or in the treated field by introducing a two-part system of reactants that chemically interact so as to produce gaseous nitrogen bubbles that help to suspend hydrophobically coated proppants and provide an additional method to control proppant placement within a treated subterranean field.

Abstract: Fracturing fluid compositions including a base fluid including a high TDS produced and/or flow back water, brackish water, RO reject water, clear brine, and mixtures thereof with or without added fresh water and systems, and methods for making and using same, where the method includes: (a) adding a first buffer to adjust the pH of a base fluid to an acidic pH, (b) adding a hydratable polymer or polymer slurry to the base fluid to form a hydratable polymer fracturing fluid, (c) adding a cross-linking composition to the hydratable polymer fracturing fluid to form a pre-cross-linked fracturing fluid, and (d) if needed, adding a second buffer to the pre-cross-linked fracturing fluid to adjust the pH of the pre-cross-linked fracturing fluid to form a viscosified fracturing fluid having a crosslinked structure.
