  • Publication number: 20210022691
Abstract: An imaging system includes a first portion and a second portion that translates and/or rotates with respect to the first portion. A first locking mechanism may prevent the second portion from translating with respect to the first portion, such as during transport of the system. A second locking mechanism may prevent the second portion from rotating with respect to the first portion, such as during transport and/or during an imaging scan. Further embodiments include a cable management system between the first and second portions, a spherically-shaped surface of a support gimbal and a user interface device for an imaging system.

  • Patent number: 10878088
Abstract: Examples relate to identifying randomly generated character strings. In one example, a computing device may: receive a character string that includes two or more characters; identify a number of character transitions included in the character string, each character transition being a change in character type within an n-gram of the character string, where n is a positive integer; and determine, based on the number of character transitions, whether the character string was randomly generated.

  • Patent number: 10328993
Abstract: A bicycle steerer tube is adapted to reside in a plane of travel of the bicycle. A thickness at a point on the wall of the steerer tube body in a lower section thereof varies as a function of the cross-sectional angle of the point to the plane of travel, with the wall thickness being at a maximum in the plane of travel. An inner wall of the lower section may be elliptical, with a minor axis aligned with the plane of travel and a major axis orthogonal to the plane of travel.

  • Publication number: 20180370839
Abstract: A method of making articles from preformed materials includes placing a preformed material on a mold such that a non-quality region of the preformed material contacts the mold and a quality region of the preformed material is free of contact with the mold. A non-contact support is provided to the quality region to control sagging of the quality region. A reformable area of the preformed material is formed into a select shape by contacting the reformable area with a forming tool while restricting contact between the forming tool and the reformable area to the non-quality region. After the forming of the reformable area, an article is extracted from the quality region.

  • Patent number: 10068243
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for processing a discount is described. The method is implemented using a payment processor computing device associated with a payment network. The method includes receiving, at the payment processor computing device, from a discount module computing device, a notification of an adjusted authorization amount for a transaction, wherein the notification is received by the discount module computing device from an intercept node computing device at the time a cardholder makes a purchase. The method also includes receiving, at the payment processor computing device, an authorization request message including a non-adjusted authorization amount for the transaction, replacing the non-adjusted authorization amount with the adjusted authorization amount in the authorization request message, and transmitting the authorization request message to an issuer computing device.

  • Publication number: 20170360387
Abstract: A mobile diagnostic imaging system includes a battery system and charging system. The battery system is located in the rotating portion of the imaging system, and includes one or more battery packs comprising electrochemical cells. Each battery pack includes a control circuit that controls the state of charge of each electrochemical cell, and implements a control scheme that causes the electrochemical cells to have a similar charge state. The battery system communicates with a charging system on the non-rotating portion to terminate charge when one or more of the electrochemical cells reach a full state of charge. The imaging system also includes a docking system that electrically connects the charging system to the battery system during charging and temporarily electrically disconnects the rotating and non-rotating portions during imaging, and a drive mechanism for rotating the rotating portion relative to the non-rotating portion.
