  • Patent number: 9737273
Abstract: A mobile diagnostic imaging system includes a battery system and charging system. The battery system is located in the rotating portion of the imaging system, and includes one or more battery packs, comprising electrochemical cells. Each battery pack includes a control circuit that controls the state of charge of each electrochemical cell, and implements a control scheme that causes the electrochemical cells to have a similar charge state. The battery system communicates with a charging system on the non-rotating portion to terminate charge when one or more of the electrochemical cells reach a full state of charge. The imaging system also includes a docking system that electrically connects the charging system to the battery system during charging and temporarily electrically disconnects the rotating and non-rotating portions during imaging, and a drive mechanism for rotating the rotating portion relative to the non-rotating portion.

  • Publication number: 20170071560
Abstract: An imaging system and methods including a gantry defining a bore and an imaging axis extending through the bore, and at least one support member that supports the gantry such that the imaging axis has a generally vertical orientation, where the gantry is displaceable with respect to the at least one support member in a generally vertical direction. The imaging system may be configured to obtain a vertical imaging scan (e.g., a helical x-ray CT scan), of a patient in a weight-bearing position. The gantry may be rotatable between a first position, in which the gantry is supported such that the imaging axis has a generally vertical orientation, and a second position, such that the imaging axis has a generally horizontal orientation. The gantry may be displaceable in a horizontal direction and the system may perform a horizontal scan of a patient or object positioned within the bore.

  • Patent number: 9405285
Abstract: A method includes communicatively coupling a user device to a field device in an industrial control system in order to configure and provision the field device. The method also includes selecting an operating mode of the user device. The method further includes, in response to selecting a first operating mode, providing configuration data from the user device to the field device in order to configure the field device. In addition, the method includes, in response to selecting a second operating mode, providing provisioning data from the user device to the field device in order to provision the field device onto a wireless network. Providing the configuration data and the provisioning data could include communicating the provisioning data and the configuration data to the field device through an out-of-band communication interface. • Publication number: 20160185414
Abstract: A bicycle steerer tube is adapted to reside in a plane of travel of the bicycle. A thickness at a point on the wall of the steerer tube body in a lower section thereof varies as a function of the cross-sectional angle of the point to the plane of travel, with the wall thickness being at a maximum in the plane of travel. An inner wall of the lower section may be elliptical, with a minor axis aligned with the plane of travel and a major axis orthogonal to the plane of travel.

  • Patent number: 9268413
Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-touch display system that supports both multi-touch human input as well as input from a digital pen. The display system has a display panel that is configured to allow human touches along a front surface to be detected and tracked. The display panel also includes a location pattern that preferably covers the viewable areas of the display panel. The location pattern is configured to allow any location within the location pattern to be detected by analyzing a portion of the display pattern that is associated with the particular location. The digital pen is used to “write” on the display panel, wherein such a writing function involves detecting the location where writing occurs and controlling display content that is displayed on the display panel to reflect what is being written.
