  • Publication number: 20240131314
Abstract: An adapter for use with a tattoo machine is disclosed. The adapter may enable a tattoo machine configured with a wireless battery pack to switch to a wired configuration by removing the wireless battery pack and replacing it with the adapter. One end of the adapter may be affixed to a portion of the tattoo machine so that the adapter may deliver power to the componentry of the tattoo machine to facilitate the operation of the tattoo machine. The other end of the adapter may include a connector for enabling connection of the adapter to a power supply or power source so that power may be delivered from the power supply or power source through the adapter and to the tattoo machine. When the tattoo machine is powered, the motor of the tattoo machine may reciprocate a needle included in a needle cartridge affixed to the tattoo machine.

  • Publication number: 20220351360
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and process carried out after a process of separating fragments of steel from pieces of ore that come out of a semi-autogenous grinder for grinding ores, and which consists of a system formed by one or more instruments for capturing images, each one being sensitive to light of different wavelengths, which point to the surface of an element for receiving the steel fragments or a channel that receives the steel balls and the fragments thereof from the separation process, through which the steel balls and fragments thereof move when they are discharged from this process, with the possibility of directing each image sensor such that it is not parallel to the others. By digitally processing the images obtained with the one or more sensors, the dimensions and morphology of the balls and ball fragments discharged from the separation process can be determined.

  • Patent number: 11383718
Abstract: A system includes a clutch control module, a shift control module, and a torque control module. The clutch control module is configured to generate a release command signal to switch a selectable one-way clutch (SOWC) from a locked state to a freewheel state. When the SOWC is in the locked state, a transmission transfers torque from an engine to a driveline and from the driveline to the engine. When the SOWC is in the freewheel state, the transmission transfers torque from the engine to the driveline and but not from the driveline to the engine. The shift control module is configured to generate a shift command signal to shift the transmission from a first gear to a second gear after the release command signal is generated. The torque control module is configured to increase an output torque of the engine for a period when the shift command signal is generated.

  • Patent number: 10113639
Abstract: A transmission includes a stationary member, an input member, and gear sets each having a plurality of nodes. The transmission includes a first clutch that connects a node of one gear set to the stationary member to establish an L1 mode, and a second clutch that connects a node of another gear set to the stationary member to establish a 2L mode. A SOWC is connected between nodes of two gear sets, and a controller, in response to a requested shift L1-L2 shift while engine braking, executes a method to release the first clutch and thereby enters a neutral mode. The SOWC is released when slip across the first clutch exceeds a first threshold, then the first clutch reapplied when a SOWC slip level exceeds another threshold to thereby enter a 1st gear freewheeling mode. The second clutch is reapplied to enter the L2 mode and resume engine braking.

  • Patent number: 10030722
Abstract: A system for determining when a selectable one-way clutch has mechanically released includes an update timer identifying if each of a converter model engine torque, a transmission input torque, and a torque converter slip are positive for a predetermined period of time. An SOWC slip value is calculated using an output signal from each of: at least one transmission internal speed sensor producing an output signal representative of a speed of an internal component of a transmission; and at least one transmission output speed sensor producing an output signal representative of a speed of an output of the transmission. An SOWC released signal is issued if either all of the measured converter model engine torque, the measured transmission input torque, and the measured torque converter slip are positive for at least the predetermined period of time, or the calculated SOWC slip value is greater than a predetermined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20160111938
Abstract: A kinetic energy collector mechanism for generating electric power from passing vehicles, using a main axle connected to a flywheel, wherein the main axle is supported on two bearings and/or rollers, said main axle having a half-cylindrical support section for the vehicle wheels, and having attached on each end at least one flywheel that is mounted so as to transmit load in only one direction while it can rotate freely in the opposite direction, said main axle rotating in an angle ranging between 0° and 120°, preferably 45°, equivalent to 1/8th of a turn as the vehicle wheels pass over the half-cylindrical section of the main axle, thus driving the attached flywheel; wherein the main axle is returned to its original resting position by means of springs, then reapeating the rotational motion every time the main axle is driven by passing vehicle wheels; and wherein, the flywheel has enough driving force to rotate and drive a generator and its corresponding regulator by mechanical means that transmit the load to

  • Patent number: 9140359
Abstract: A vehicle includes an engine, a dry dual-clutch transmission (dDCT) having a pair of input clutches and a gearbox containing oddly- and evenly-numbered gear sets, and a transmission control module (TCM). Application of one of input clutches connects the engine to a corresponding one of the oddly- or evenly-numbered gear sets. The TCM includes feed-forward PID-based control logic, and a torque-to-position (TTP) table for each input clutch. The TCM commands a position of a designated input clutch during a power-on upshift using the feed-forward, PID-based control logic, and selectively adapts the TTP table as a function of an inertia and acceleration value of the engine. The TCM may apply an asymmetrical handoff profile to commanded oncoming and offgoing clutch torques during the torque phase of the upshift. The TCM may also adjust the TTP table as a function of the frequency of use of the input clutches.

  • Patent number: 8849936
Abstract: An intermediate service provider operates to mediate communications between mobile terminals and various service providers. In one embodiment, the intermediate service provider and a given mobile terminal establish a persistent session supported by a logical communication channel that is used to convey communications for all of the various service applications implemented by the mobile terminal, i.e., a single, multiplexed channel. In another embodiment, common command subsystems are used to support the multiple service applications, thereby reducing overhead resulting from multiple protocol headers. In yet another embodiment, establishment of communications with various service providers begins with a single connection request message that specifies at least two selected service applications such that the intermediate service provider can establish communications with the multiple service providers in response to the single connection request message.
