  • Publication number: 20100258579
Abstract: A braking assembly used in a dispenser that dispenses a continuous supply of material such as paper. The braking assembly includes a support structure. A first fixed gear is rotatably connected to the support structure. A movable chassis is also connected to the support structure. A second movable gear is held by the chassis and moves with the chassis. Teeth of the first gear and teeth of the second gear intermesh with each other and allow the paper to pass therethrough. The chassis maintains the teeth of the first and second gears in contact with each other while enabling a distance between gears to be adjustable. The assembly further includes a braking mechanism that varies an amount of force required to rotate the gears.

  • Publication number: 20060283212
Abstract: A tile sponge washing and conditioning apparatus is disclosed for washing in water a sponge used during a ceramic tile grouping operation. The apparatus includes a frame for disposition thereof within the water. The frame includes a first wall and a second wall which is disposed spaced from the first wall. A first roller has an axis of rotation which extends through the walls and a second roller has a rotational axis which extends through the walls. The rollers cooperate with each other to define therebetween a passageway for the passage therethrough of the sponge to be washed and conditioned such that when the rollers are counter rotated relative to each other, the sponge is squeezed and driven through the passageway so that the sponge is washed and conditioned by the water during passage of the sponge through the passageway. An electric motor is drivingly connected to at least one of the rollers for rotating the rollers.

  • Publication number: 20060199515
Abstract: A stable portable fan capable of generating an exhaust air stream elevated above a support surface allowing the exhaust air stream to be directed as desired by the user is provided. The device includes an air generator assembly located within a polygonal column generating an exhaust air stream that exiting the polygonal column. The polygonal column of the device is used to disguise/conceal the fan.

  • Publication number: 20060176077
Abstract: A programmable application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) for implementing operations that involve a plurality of computational functions. The programmable ASIC comprises a plurality of fixed functions and programmable switch logic. Each of the plurality of fixed functions is parameterized such that its operational characteristics are programmable using different operating parameters. In addition, each of the plurality of fixed functions inputs and outputs data in accordance with common interface rules. The programmable switch logic is configurable to link two or more of the fixed functions in a sequence to perform desired operations. The fixed functions are implemented using “hard” or fixed digital logic gates such as those in an ASIC.

  • Publication number: 20050089409
Abstract: A portable, free standing air blower capable of generating a user directed exhaust air stream is provided. The device includes an air blower assembly located within an air director housing rotatably coupled to a base about a horizontal axis of rotation. The air blower device includes a pre-determined range of rotation of the air director housing around the axis of rotation and the air director housing is able to rotate about the axis of rotation within the pre-determined range of rotation substantially unimpeded by the base. Preferably, the at least one air outlet can be positioned so as to direct a flow of exhaust air at an angle below an imaginary plane through the air outlet and parallel to the support surface.

  • Publication number: 20050071191
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of dispensing generic pharmaceutical products to qualified patients, physicians and/or pharmacies. In one embodiment, the methods generally involve a plurality of sources of generic pharmaceutical products transferring generic pharmaceutical products to one or more charitable foundations. The one or more charitable foundations further transfer the generic pharmaceutical products to a centralized sourcing agent and distributor. Alternatively, the sources of generic pharmaceutical products may transfer the same directly to the centralized sourcing agent and distributor.

  • Patent number: 6633327
Abstract: An environmental monitoring system for a hazardous work area, such as a nuclear power plant, which monitors the radiation exposure of personnel working in the nuclear power plant and overlays a visual representation of the exposure data onto a video display of the location the personnel are working in. The apparatus includes a video source, such as a plurality of PTZ cameras, for providing video image signals of the work area. In the preferred embodiment, individual radiation exposure sensors provide signals representative of the radiation received by each worker in the work area. A computer, outside of the work area, is connected to the sensors for converting the sensor signals to a visual video representation of the sensor measurements. A gen/lock overlay unit is connected to the computer for combining the video image signals and the visual video representation of the sensor measurements wherein the visual video representations are overlaid onto the video images of the work area.
