  • Publication number: 20210118147
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for image processing are described. A device may determine a split-screen condition associated with a video image and perform an additional analysis to confirm the split-screen condition. In some examples, the device may generate a truncated image composed of one or more pixels located at each corner of a first image (e.g., a displayed image), and the device may process the truncated image to determine whether a split-screen condition is present for the displayed image. The device may use a continuality analysis, in which the device determines pixel values associated with multiple rows (or columns, or both) of a video image and compares differences between the pixel values at opposite ends of a video image to a threshold, to determine whether a split-screen condition is present. The device may then confirm a split-screen condition by processing the video image using an edge detection filter.

  • Patent number: 9382848
Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the present technique, a method is disclosed. The method includes modifying one or more operational parameters of a gas turbine (GT) to increase an exhaust gas temperature above a standard start-up temperature. The method also includes receiving at least one of GT operational data, heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) operational data, and steam turbine (ST) operational data from a plurality of sensors. The method further includes predicting a ST roll-off time based on at least one of the GT operational data, the HRSG operational data, and the ST operational data. • Patent number: 8654344
Abstract: A device for generating a secondary source from a primary optical source emitting a first optical beam focused onto a surface in movement, with which said first beam interacts so as to generate a secondary beam, includes an optical device for controlling the orientation and position of said surface to determine the orientation and position of the emission point of said secondary source on said surface. The device comprises: a control laser beam split into two branches, a fixed reference beam and a mobile analysis beam reflected by the surface in movement; means for making said reference and analysis beams interfere to generate interference fringes; means for imaging the interference fringes carrying information about the orientation and position of said surface; means for analyzing said interference images; and means for generating a feedback loop for controlling the orientation and position of said surface in movement based on the analysis.

  • Patent number: 7904062
Abstract: A mobile device, system, and method are directed towards displaying an advertisement within a navigable view on a mobile device. In one embodiment, the navigable view employs a scrollable list. In one embodiment, a capability of the mobile device is employed to determine the mechanism for displaying of the advertisement within the navigable view. In one embodiment, the display mechanism may enable the advertisement to disappear from the mobile device's display after scrolling past the advertisement. In another embodiment, the advertisement is treated as a fixed entry within the scrollable view. As a fixed entry, scrolling past the advertisement results in the advertisement disappearing from the display of the mobile device. In still another embodiment, the advertisement is treated as a continually viewable entry within the navigable view, and in another embodiment, the advertisement may bounce to a top or a bottom of the navigable view as it is scrolled.

  • Patent number: 7895049
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards managing an adaptive media object to dynamically represent a persona reflecting a group's (or individual's) online and/or offline activities and behaviors. The group selects the adaptive media object to represent their persona digitally. The group may indicate which activities, actions, and/or behaviors are to be used to adapt the persona, and may further specify at least one mapping of a selected activity, action, and/or behavior to a change in the configuration of the adaptive media object. In one embodiment, the various activities, actions, and/or behaviors may be input to a machine learning algorithm that dynamically determines the changes to the adaptive media object. The adaptive media object may serve as a single point of contact for the group or individual for communications. The adaptive media object configuration may also change based upon the client device used to access the adaptive media object.

  • Patent number: 7853869
Abstract: Semantic objects are created that provide a structure for markup language representations of documents. The semantic objects include text runs that are produced from the markup language representation and that are placed into semantic blocks that group text runs according to how text is logically structured in the document being represented. The text runs of each semantic block are ordered to correspond to the logical order of the document being represented. The semantic blocks corresponding to each page of the document being represented are ordered to correspond to the logical order of the document being represented. The ordered semantic blocks including the ordered text runs are saved as a semantic object which can they be utilized to make use of the logical structure of the document being represented by the markup language.

  • Patent number: 7836399
Abstract: Various technologies and techniques detect lists in vector graphics based documents and use them in meaningful ways. The system detects at least one list in a vector graphics based document using a set of rules. Pattern detection logic identifies characters, symbols, numbers, letters, and/or images that may start a list. Additional pattern detection logic determines if a list exists. The system can identify and parse bulleted lists, numbered or lettered lists, and nested lists that are any combination of both. Once identified, the content is translated into a modified format. The content can be output to a destination application in the modified format that is more suitable for output or use by the destination application.
