  • Patent number: 7676741
Abstract: Techniques relating to structural context for fixed layout markup documents are described. In one instance, a process defines content and associated positional information of a document with a set of content markup. The process also specifies a structural configuration for the document relative to at least some of the content markup, such that the structural configuration is separate from the content markup.

  • Patent number: 7653953
Abstract: It is depicted a rotating therapeutic bed which comprises: a structural base including in turn wheels located on its lower portion to allow moving the bed from one place to another; a first removable stretcher with a first mattress to support the patient laying on his back; a second removable stretcher with a second mattress being placed in a reversed fashion and over the first stretcher and the patient, who is supported between the mattresses of both stretchers; the second stretcher supporting the patient laying face down when stretchers are rotated by 180° on a rotation axis crossing along the patient; front and rear stretcher mounting and rotation members rotationally mounted on the structural base; the first and second stretchers being longitudinally mounted with a vertical spacing between them in such stretcher mounting and rotation means, which allow also their rotation; and side barriers coupled to the longitudinal sides of the first stretcher, as well as of the second stretcher, such barriers covering

  • Publication number: 20090144211
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards managing an adaptive media object to dynamically represent a persona reflecting a group's (or individual's) online and/or offline activities and behaviors. The group selects the adaptive media object to represent their persona digitally. The group may indicate which activities, actions, and/or behaviors are to be used to adapt the persona, and may further specify at least one mapping of a selected activity, action, and/or behavior to a change in the configuration of the adaptive media object. In one embodiment, the various activities, actions, and/or behaviors may be input to a machine learning algorithm that dynamically determines the changes to the adaptive media object. The adaptive media object may serve as a single point of contact for the group or individual for communications. The adaptive media object configuration may also change based upon the client device used to access the adaptive media object.

  • Publication number: 20080220747
Abstract: A mobile device, system, and method are directed towards displaying an advertisement within a navigable view on a mobile device. In one embodiment, the navigable view employs a scrollable list. In one embodiment, a capability of the mobile device is employed to determine the mechanism for displaying of the advertisement within the navigable view. In one embodiment, the display mechanism may enable the advertisement to disappear from the mobile device's display after scrolling past the advertisement. In another embodiment, the advertisement is treated as a fixed entry within the scrollable view. As a fixed entry, scrolling past the advertisement results in the advertisement disappearing from the display of the mobile device. In still another embodiment, the advertisement is treated as a continually viewable entry within the navigable view, and in another embodiment, the advertisement may bounce to a top or a bottom of the navigable view as it is scrolled.

  • Publication number: 20070186152
Abstract: Various technologies and techniques detect tables in vector graphics based documents and use them in meaningful ways. The system detects at least one table in a vector graphics based document using a set of rules. The rules include analyzing a set of content representing horizontal and vertical lines to find intersections and identifying table cells based on the intersections. Once identified, the table content is translated into a modified format. The content can be output to a destination application in the modified format that is more suitable for output or use by the destination application.

  • Publication number: 20070185837
Abstract: Various technologies and techniques detect lists in vector graphics based documents and use them in meaningful ways. The system detects at least one list in a vector graphics based document using a set of rules. Pattern detection logic identifies characters, symbols, numbers, letters, and/or images that may start a list. Additional pattern detection logic determines if a list exists. The system can identify and parse bulleted lists, numbered or lettered lists, and nested lists that are any combination of both. Once identified, the content is translated into a modified format. The content can be output to a destination application in the modified format that is more suitable for output or use by the destination application.

  • Publication number: 20070136660
Abstract: Semantic objects are created that provide a structure for markup language representations of documents. The semantic objects include text runs that are produced from the markup language representation and that are placed into semantic blocks that group text runs according to how text is logically structured in the document being represented. The text runs of each semantic block are ordered to correspond to the logical order of the document being represented. The semantic blocks corresponding to each page of the document being represented are ordered to correspond to the logical order of the document being represented. The ordered semantic blocks including the ordered text runs are saved as a semantic object which can they be utilized to make use of the logical structure of the document being represented by the markup language.
