  • Publication number: 20100088841
Abstract: A handheld vacuum cleaner housing with a frame element forming at least a portion of a handle and extending in a main handle direction. A through hole passes through and is encircled by the frame element, and is configured to receive one or more fingers of an operator. A top casing element is connected to the frame element and covers at least some of a top side of the frame element. A bottom casing element is connected to the frame element and covers at least some of the bottom side of the frame element. The frame element, top casing element and bottom casing element are arranged to form at least part of a vacuum source housing for accommodating at least a part of a vacuum source. A vacuum cleaner having a similar housing, as well as a detachable second housing having a debris compartment and nozzle, is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20090165239
Abstract: A handheld vacuum cleaner having a housing with an electric motor, a fan driven by the motor, a debris emptying hole for removal of debris from a debris collecting compartment inside the vacuum cleaner, a lid pivotally hinged about a pivot axis and adapted to allow closing and opening of the debris emptying hole, a nozzle defining a nozzle opening in a forward end of the vacuum cleaner through which an air stream may be drawn for collecting debris, and at least two wheels, which are positioned adjacent the nozzle opening and are rotatable about a common rotation axis. The pivot axis for the lid and the rotation axis for the wheels are located on a common axis.

  • Publication number: 20040038019
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for the production of a microscopic network of containers and nanotubes, constituted of surfactant membranes, said method comprising partitioning of one mother container into two daughter containers in communication with each other through a nanotube, followed by partitioning of one or both of the resulting daughter containers resulting in new daughter containers, wherein the partitioning of daughter containers is repeated until a desired number of containers is obtained. Also disclosed are microscopic networks of containers and nanotubes obtainable by the above mentioned method, and microscopic networks of at least two containers constituted of surfactant membranes and at least one nanotube constituted of surfactant membranes, said nanotube forming communication between said containers.

  • Patent number: 6407702
Abstract: A method and a system are disclosed which utilize the polarization properties of electromagnetic fields for a determination of the direction to the source of the electromagnetic radiation. The method and system primarily use a particular antenna device with is associated receiver means for obtaining a wave field measurement Assuming separate frequencies, the present method and system also make it possible to distinguish between several sources and register their separate polarizations simultaneously. At least three electric antennas, or three magnetic antennas, are used to measure the wave field. The registered field components need not be orthogonal to each other. The measured wave field is processed in accordance to predetermined formulae so that the propagation direction and other polarization characteristics, such as the spectral intensity I and the spectral degree of circular polarization rc, are derived. Furthermore the measurements need not be from more than one point in space.
