Patent number: 11617604Abstract: An intramedullary nail assembly includes a body and an inlay. The body has an outer surface and an opposing inner surface. The outer surface extends from a leading end of the body to a trailing end of the body. The inner surface defines a cannulation that extends into the trailing end towards the leading end. The body comprises a leading body portion that defines the leading end, and a trailing body portion that defines the trailing end. The inlay is positionable within the cannulation of at least one of the leading body portion and the trailing body portion. The inlay includes an engagement member configured to engage the body to removably lock the inlay within the cannulation of the body.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2020Date of Patent: April 4, 2023Assignee: DEPUY SYNTHES PRODUCTS, INC.Inventors: Roger Koch, Walter Widmer, Heinz Zbinden, Mark Allemann

Patent number: 11615525Abstract: A soil imaging system having a work layer sensor disposed on an agricultural implement to generate an electromagnetic field through a soil area of interest as the agricultural implement traverses a field. A monitor in communication with the work layer sensor is adapted to generate a work layer image of the soil layer of interest based on the generated electromagnetic field. The work layer sensor may also generate a reference image by generating an electromagnetic field through undisturbed soil. The monitor may compare at least one characteristic of the reference image with at least one characteristic of the work layer image to generate a characterized image of the work layer of interest. The monitor may display operator feedback and may effect operational control of the agricultural implement based on the characterized image.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: CLIMATE LLCInventors: Michael Strnad, Roger Koch, Dale Koch

Publication number: 20220015411Abstract: A method of producing cigarettes in a cigarette machine provides that separated tobacco is sucked to a lower side of an air-permeable conveyor belt. A suction bar is above the conveyor belt, which is connected to an air suction, the tobacco being formed into a tobacco rod at the lower side of the first conveyor belt, by being compressed at the lower side of the conveyor belt by the suction flow. The tobacco rod is transferred from the conveyor belt to a second conveyor belt, on which upper side a cigarette paper band is arranged. The cigarette paper band is glued along the longitudinal direction of the rod and the tobacco rod is cut into cigarettes. A smokable additive substance is metered into the suction stream mixed with tobacco and the tobacco rod is formed from the tobacco and the additive substance at the lower side of the first conveyor belt.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2019Publication date: January 20, 2022Inventor: Roger Koch

Publication number: 20060225310Abstract: Maintaining alignment of a work machine with a predetermined work machine path over a relatively lengthy distance can be difficult. In order to maintain alignment of a work machine with a predetermined work machine path, the present disclosure includes a work machine alignment system that includes a laser generator operable to produce a laser vertical plane parallel to a determined work machine path, and a laser receiver group operable to sense a position of the laser vertical plane within a horizontal laser sensing width of the laser receiver group. One of the laser receiver group or the laser generator is attached to a work machine body of the work machine at a fixed location. The laser receiver group is in communication with an electronic control module that includes a work machine alignment assistance algorithm.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2005Publication date: October 12, 2006Inventor: Roger Koch
