  • Patent number: 6964589
Abstract: A sculling boat assembly is provided to control the traveling direction and drive a boat, and the sculling boat assembly installs a transmission mechanism on two hulls, connects an end of each transmission mechanism to a handle extended from the two hulls, connects another end of each transmission mechanism to a paddle rod extended from the tail of the boat, and connects an end of each paddle rod with an extension of a fin-shape member. Through the transmission of each paddle rod, a user applies a force onto each handle to drive the fin-shape member disposed on each paddle rod for the movements of pushing water outward and enclosing water inward, such that the water resistance is converted into a reaction by the soft and hard materials of the fin-shape member and its extension to drive the boat to move forward rapidly.

  • Publication number: 20050174731
Abstract: A holding dock for portable computers to house a portable computer and disperse heat includes an upper lid, a holding surface, sidewalls and a hub to form a heat dissipation space. Heated air generated by the computer may enter the heat dissipation space through a heat dissipation section formed on the holding surface. The hub has a fan mounted thereon to draw the heated air to provide heat dissipation effect for the portable computer. The hub further can connect other electronic devices to the portable computer. The heat dissipation space can also house the portable computer to facilitate carrying and storing.

  • Publication number: 20050125469
Abstract: A method and system for applying pipeline architecture to discrete cosine transform and inverse discrete cosine transform. Each of the discrete cosine transform and inverse cosine transform are divided into four phases computed by process elements. Each phase can be designed by adjusting the amount of process elements according the demand of performance.

  • Publication number: 20050001665
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and related circuitry for multiple phase-splitting. The method includes: while generating M output clocks with a same frequency f1 and different phases, generating N reference clocks with a same frequency (M/N)*f1 and different phases (wherein M>N), and triggering (N/M) frequency division using different periods within each reference clock to generate (M/N) output clocks of different phases for each reference clock, such that the M output clocks of different phases are generated from the N reference clocks of different phases.

  • Patent number: 6825787
Abstract: A digital-to-analog converter generates an output voltage according to an input code. The converter includes: a plurality of positive current sources, a plurality of negative current sources, an assistant current source, and a control logic. The control logic converts the input code to a plurality of positive control bits and negative control bits for respectively controlling the positive current sources and the negative current sources so a current can be provided to a resistor for achieving the purpose of to establishing the required output voltage. The assistant current source also provides current to the resistor when the negative current sources provide current. When the input code is a 2s complement negative number, the control logic simply codes a 1s complement number to generate the negative control bits according to the input code such that the converter provides a negative output voltage according to the negative input code and the assistant current source.

  • Publication number: 20040233204
Abstract: A method and apparatus for sharing the video memory of a graphic chip includes the steps as follows: when the destination block of a frame buffer executes color expansion, storing a color LUT to a memory shared by both pattern and color LUT in a video memory, so as to provide color expansion; and when the graphic engine accesses a pattern memory, storing a pattern block to the memory shared by both pattern and color LUT for the access of a graphic engine. By the above-mentioned sharing mechanism, the physical layout area of the graphic chip is reduced and the cost also drops.

  • Publication number: 20040233333
Abstract: An adaptive pixel-based blending method and system of a video processing system including steps of acquiring a first pixel value in accordance with a first index value, acquiring a first blending factor in accordance with the parts of the first pixel value, calculating a second blending factor in accordance with the first blending factor, and generating a overlapped and blended image in accordance with the blending factors and the pixel values of the source images. Thus, multiple source images can be overlapped and blended in a flexible way.

  • Publication number: 20040233217
Abstract: The present invention is a general mode of a pixel-based adaptive blending method. By receiving several different input signals to generate a pixel and a blending factor of each signal, an output pixel can be generated depending on these pixels and blending factors. Thus, several different video and graphic images can be overlapped and blended flexibly on an output display.
