  • Publication number: 20200074725
Abstract: Realistic augmented reality (AR) augmentations are produced in reliance on a 3D virtual model modeled after a real world environment. Light and shadow parameters for the augmentations are produced not only from real world parameters such as, for example, a real present position of the actual sun, but also from virtual world parameters which characterize the virtual model or virtual objects within the virtual model.

  • Publication number: 20190318543
Abstract: Images and/or videos have associated therewith information like location and orientation information for the camera used to captured the images/videos. The associated location and orientation (or pose) information facilitates subsequent processing for producing accurate and convincing augmented reality (AR) outputs. In addition, some embodiments associate user-specific information with images or videos for producing customized AR content on a user-to-user basis.

  • Publication number: 20190244431
Abstract: AR engines modify a picture or video of the real world to include more than simply real world content. The modified image/frame content is passed along to one or multiple downstream AR engines which treat the content as original input. Modifications to images/frames may include the addition of virtual markers. Virtual markers may be visual content of virtual origin that is added to an image or frame. A virtual marker may trigger a predetermined reaction from a downstream AR engine when that downstream AR engine processes the modified content. For example, a virtual marker added to an image by an upstream AR engine may trigger a downstream AR engine to output a particular augmentation. The virtual marker may have a known meaning to both the upstream AR engine and the downstream AR engine. Accordingly, there may be “collaboration” among AR engines and a reduction in the processing requirements of downstream and overall image processing.

  • Patent number: 10200877
Abstract: A cloud-based platform is provided offering large-scale and dynamic data analysis, processing, and exchange for telecommunications network design and deployment. It is configured to accommodate local, regional, and nationwide network planning and management needs. Information relevant to the network and individual design projects is organized with respect to a shared timeline that is shared with all project teams. All on-going and committed planned projects related to network performance are tracked on the shared timeline, with predicted network performance continually and automatically updated at regular intervals.

  • Publication number: 20180365884

  • Publication number: 20180349403
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for providing alternate reality (e.g., virtual reality) representations to users. Exemplary methods employ data collections (e.g., stacks) which affect the virtual representations of baseline virtual models. Data collections contain layers which contain deltas. The deltas specify modifications to the baseline virtual reality world or model. The deltas may be geocoded, while the layers that contain them may not be geocoded. Separately selectable layers are used to temporarily modify or substitute baseline data or virtual elements (e.g., virtual objects) that are ultimately presented to a user on an output device. Conflict resolution algorithms harmonize conflicts between layers of a collection.

  • Patent number: 9337499
Abstract: A fuel cell assembly in which one or more dual cell modules is created by “sandwiching” a first reactant chamber between two electrolyte assemblies and enclosing the result within a surrounding vessel containing the second reactant. Each dual cell module thereby contains two operating electrolyte assemblies. In such a configuration separate electrical conductors must be provided to create the proper connections. In order to avoid the resistance losses inherent in the use of edge connections, the present invention preferably includes conductors that actually pass through the electrolytes. These conductors are contained within an assembly that electrically insulates the conductor where needed and provides a gas-tight seal where needed.

  • Patent number: 8869461
Abstract: A stadium and arena seating system is provided which preferably utilizes pre-cast concrete tread surfaces and metallic or other non-concrete vertical risers therebetween. The pre-cast concrete treads have non-concrete front embeds embedded within the front of the treads respectively, and an integrally formed upwardly extending concrete lip portion for shedding water from the upper adjacent riser that eliminates the need for a non-concrete rear embed. The front embeds may comprise a metallic or other non-concrete material similar to the vertical risers. The vertical risers are arranged in a shingled fashion overlapping the upwardly extending concrete lip portion of the treads to provide water and debris shedding. In a further aspect, the upwardly extending concrete lip portion may optionally be formed with a plurality of pre-formed mounting holes through which fasteners for fastening a lower portion of the riser may be received.
