  • Patent number: 11751581
Abstract: Systems and methods for treating unwashed fruit with fruit bloom that provide a first ultraviolet (UV) energy with one or more flashes using a first set of one or more flash lamps to a first surface of each of a plurality of blueberries and provide a second UV energy with one or more flashes using a second set of one or more flash lamps to a second surface of each of the plurality of blueberries. The system determines a fruit bloom level associated with the plurality of blueberries after provision of the first and second UV energies and determines an adjustment to a parameter of at least one of the first and second UV energies based on the fruit bloom level. The system provides UV energy with the adjusted parameter to a subsequent set of blueberries to remove microorganisms from the blueberries while retaining fruit bloom.

  • Patent number: 10143045
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) heating apparatus and a microwave oven including an RF heating apparatus. The apparatus includes a cavity for receiving an object to be heated. The apparatus also includes a plurality of channels for generating RF radiation to be introduced into the cavity. Each channel includes a frequency synthesizer, a power amplifier and an antenna. Each channel is operable to use a common phase reference signal for generating the RF radiation. Each channel may be controllably operable to generate RF radiation having different, respective frequency spectra. Forward and reverse signal detection circuitry may be provided that is operable to determine amplitude, frequency and/or phase information relating to RF radiation in the cavity. This information may be used for adaptively controlling the RF radiation generated by each channel.

  • Publication number: 20170112202
Abstract: An improved method of using a magnetic repulsive sports equipment to reduce the impact force received by a wearer by providing a first sport equipment on a first wearer, and a second sport equipment on a second wearer. The first and second sport equipment each has a body, and at least one magnetic element associated with the body. The magnetic elements each have a pole orientated in a direction exterior of the sport equipment. They produce a repulsive magnetic force when the magnetic elements are at a predetermined distance from each other prior to the first and second sport equipment making contact. The magnetic elements (+) are made from any material that produces a magnetic field between a north and south pole.
