  • Publication number: 20250055598
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) signals from a BICM transmitter to generate information bit estimates of information in the BICM signals, including a decoder to generate the information bit estimates of the information in the received BICM signals and a symbol a posteriori probability (APP) generator to generate first symbol a posteriori probabilities (APPs) by processing the BICM signals based on Euclidean distances derived from the BICM signals, and further based on symbol probability log-likelihood ratios (SPLLRs) provided to the symbol APP generator by an extrinsic-information-based symbol probability log-likelihood ratio (SPLLR) generator. The SPLLR generator generates the SPLLRs directly from extrinsic information based on updated symbol APPs output from the decoder, without converting the extrinsic information into log-likelihoods (LLs), and the decoder generates the information bit estimates based on the first symbol APPs output from the symbol APP generator.

  • Publication number: 20240373324
Abstract: A wireless telecommunication network is configured to scale and transition usage limits of network services for subscriber devices connected thereto. For an intermediate time period following a subscriber failing to satisfy a service condition related to the network services, the wireless telecommunication network partially limits an Internet Protocol (IP) network connectivity service for subscriber devices associated with the subscriber using a firewall. In particular, the wireless telecommunication network configures the firewall to redirect Domain Name System (DNS) queries from the subscriber devices to whitelisted webpages of a quarantine IP domain. The whitelisted webpages are configured to enable users of the subscriber devices to resolve the subscriber's failure to satisfy the service condition.

  • Publication number: 20240373404
Abstract: A wireless telecommunication network is configured to provide enhanced subscriber messaging to subscriber devices related to predicted changes to network service access. Network service changes are predicted based on events that are published in a network event queue, with certain events indicating a failure of a subscriber to meet service subscription requirements. A notification subsystem of the wireless telecommunication network, in response to detecting the certain events, causes notifications to be displayed on multiple subscriber devices of the subscriber. The display of notifications on subscriber devices is remotely controlled by the notification subsystem. For example, the notifications are persistently displayed irrespective of user input until a specific command to dismiss the notifications is transmitted by the notification subsystem. The notifications can also be dynamically escalated based on proximity to the predicted network service change.

  • Publication number: 20240372788
Abstract: Operation and management of a wireless telecommunication network is improved via reducing and preventing service condition faults by subscribers. Service condition faults occur when a subscriber fails to satisfy service conditions or requirements for receiving network services provided by the wireless telecommunication network. Service conditions faults can be intelligently reduced or prevented based on adjusting network service parameters or configurations for a subscriber in a manner that reduces a magnitude and/or volume of service conditions for the subscriber. A wireless telecommunication network implements a machine learning (ML) model that uses subscriber-specific data to classify a recurrence likelihood of the subscriber and a service condition fault, and based on the classification, select modified network service parameters or configurations to implement specifically for the subscriber.

  • Publication number: 20240340083
Abstract: Techniques are described for implementing free space optical (FSO) ground-to-satellite communications. In general, an optical ground station communicates optically with a satellite via a ground-to-satellite FSO communication link. Embodiments described herein deploy at least two FSO relays at one or more aerial platform altitudes to effectively segment the ground-to-satellite FSO communication link into three or more FSO sub-links. Each FSO sub-link has better optical link performance (e.g., lower outage probability) than a single direct link. The FSO relays can include tropospheric FSO relays on low-altitude platforms and/or stratospheric FSO relays on high-altitude platforms, and architectures can use the FSO relays in a serial and/or parallel manner.

  • Publication number: 20240297876
Abstract: A hosting service enables streamlined scaling of features that relate to data storage management. The scaling is powered by deployment of microservices, each one directed to a discrete feature of a data storage management system. In addition to scaling on demand, the disclosed hosting service provides additional value-added features, such as streamlining intra-system handling, auditing, and reporting of logs generated by microservices; standardizing exception handling; mediating port assignments for co-located microservices to avoid collisions; streamlining formats for inter-microservice communications; streamlining local database access; etc. Advantageously, the disclosed solution off-loads the storage manager, and additionally improves system performance by scaling various functions and by streamlining interoperability among components.

  • Publication number: 20240224116
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for generating and implementing pulse-shaping filters for efficient utilization of limited spectral resources in wireless communication systems. Wireless communication systems operating at high spectral efficiency conventionally use pulse shaping filters that rely on Nyquist waveforms for good main lobe performance with low inter-symbol interference (ISI) power. Conventional uses of non-Nyquist waveforms typically involve an orthogonalization process to convert those non-Nyquist waveforms to Nyquist waveforms for ISI free performance. Embodiments of pulse shaping filters described herein generate a non-Nyquist partial response (NNPR) transmit filter and/or matched receive filter based on applying a tunable second-weighted orthogonalization to a tunable first-weighted non-Nyquist waveform to obtain a pulse-shaping waveform with parametric control over throughput and power penalty.

  • Patent number: 11888955
Abstract: A client application can be configured to render user interface cards, based on card data provided by a remote card engine. An API Response as Card (ARC) engine can intercept a communication between the client application and the card engine, and determine that the communication is associated with another backend system. The ARC engine can request that the backend system perform an account action associated with a user account. The ARC engine can provide information derived from a response from the backend system, reflecting a result of the account action, to the card engine. The card action can generate card data associated with the result of the account action performed by the backend system, and the client application can use the card data to render and display a corresponding card, even if neither the client application nor the card engine are natively configured to interface with the backend system.
