  • Publication number: 20220366897
Abstract: A method includes receiving audio data encoding an utterance and obtaining a set of bias phrases corresponding to a context of the utterance. Each bias phrase includes one or more words. The method also includes processing, using a speech recognition model, acoustic features derived from the audio to generate an output from the speech recognition model. The speech recognition model includes a first encoder configured to receive the acoustic features, a bias encoder configured to receive data indicating the obtained set of bias phrases, a bias encoder, and a decoder configured to determine likelihoods of sequences of speech elements based on output of the first attention module and output of the bias attention module. The method also includes determining a transcript for the utterance based on the likelihoods of sequences of speech elements.

  • Publication number: 20220369197
Abstract: A method for enhanced call control using User Equipment (UE)-triggered fallback procedure is provided. A UE starts a guard timer in response to initiating or receiving an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) call in a mobile communication network which utilizes a first Radio Access Technology (RAT). The UE determines whether a condition for call continuation in the mobile communication network is met when the guard timer expires. The UE triggers a fallback from the first RAT to a second RAT in response to the condition for call continuation in the mobile communication network not being met.

  • Publication number: 20220366962
Abstract: After reading a 3D (three dimensional) NAND array, the wordlines of the 3D NAND array can be transitioned to ground in a staggered manner. The 3D NAND array includes a 3D stack with multiple wordlines vertically stacked, including a bottom-most wordline, a top-most wordline, and middle wordlines between the bottom-most wordline and the top-most wordline. A controller that controls the reading can set the multiple wordlines to a read voltage for reading operations and then transition a selected wordline of the multiple wordlines from the read voltage to ground prior to transitioning the other wordlines to ground. Thus, the controller will transition the other wordlines from the read voltage to ground after a delay.

  • Publication number: 20220368550
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video conference and/or telepresence. In some examples, video conference/telepresence can be performed by multiple client devices, user devices and a media control device (e.g., server device). For example, a first client device determines a grouping control that limits a grouping of an overlay media from a second client device with an immersive media of the first client device, and transmits a grouping control signal indicative of the grouping control to inform a media control device. Further, the first client device provides one or more media including the immersive media to the media control device. The media control device can group a plurality of immersive media streams in a single or multiple groups based on the grouping control signal received from the first client device.

  • Publication number: 20220368413
Abstract: Various arrangements for performing transmodulation of a forward feeder link are presented. A first data stream and a second data stream can be modulated into a higher-order modulation forward feeder link having a higher-order digital modulation scheme. A satellite can receive the higher-order modulation forward feeder link. The satellite can demodulate the higher-order modulator forward feeder link into a bit stream. This bit stream may then be remodulated and retransmitted as multiple forward user links.

  • Patent number: 11502837
Abstract: The system and methods described herein may be utilized to perform operations in a faster and less complex manner than provided by conventional systems. An encrypted record may be stored at a user device. The encrypted record may include entries related to operations that were previously requested by the user device. The encrypted record may have been encrypted using a dynamic value and a key that is associated with an entity associated with the user. A recipient computer of a request by the user device may be configured to utilize the dynamic value provided in the request and the key associated with the entity to derive the encryption key(s) last used to encrypt the record. The recipient computer may decrypt and modify the encrypted record to perform the requested operation while the user device is precluded from doing so.

  • Patent number: 11500929
Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product for training a global machine learning model. A hierarchical structure for nodes in which the global machine learning model is located at a primary node in the hierarchical structure is identified. Authorized nodes in which local data is authorized for use in training in the authorized nodes for a local training of local machine learning models are determined. The machine learning models in the authorized nodes are trained using the local data in the authorized nodes to generate local model updates to weights in the local machine learning models. The local model updates to the weights are propagated upward in the hierarchical structure to the global machine learning model, wherein a node receiving local model updates to the weights from nodes from a lower level aggregates the weights in the local model updates received from the nodes in the lower level.

  • Patent number: 11499910
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for obtaining a vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) image using a discrete frequency infrared (DFIR) microscope are disclosed. The method includes generating a pulsed laser beam comprising a spectral frequency, which may be tunable; modulating the laser beam to generate circularly polarized light; illuminating a sample and collecting, and detecting an optical signal transmitted or transflected from the location of the sample. The detected signal is demodulated at, for example, both the pulse frequency and the sum or difference of the pulse frequency and the modulating frequency to obtain an intensity value that correspond to the absorbance, and a polarization-dependent value that corresponds to the VCD. Other configurations of the apparatus may be employed to measure VCB and VLD.

  • Publication number: 20220360085
Abstract: A utility-scale energy storage and conversion system can operate two or more inverter groups such that their reactive power commands are proportional to their available reactive power range. The control system can therefore distribute the reactive power commands in proportion to the available Q range, thereby ensuring that all inverters in the utility-scale energy storage and conversion system 100 operate with the same Q “headroom”. In addition, the utility-scale energy storage and conversion system can use an on-load tap changer (LTC) to adjust a terminal voltage associated with a first group of inverters and a second group of inverters. The first group of inverters can be associated with a first rating and the second group of inverters can be associated with a second rating that is greater than the first rating.

  • Patent number: 11496582
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for computer-generating responses and sending responses to communications when the recipient of the communication is unavailable are disclosed. An individual may send a message (either audio or text) to a recipient. The recipient may be unavailable to contemporaneously respond to the message (e.g., the recipient may be performing an action that makes is difficult or impractical for the recipient to contemporaneously respond to the audio message). When the recipient is unavailable, a response to the message is generated and sent without receiving an instruction from the recipient to do so. The response may be sent to the message originating individual, and content of the response may thereafter be sent to the recipient to receive feedback regarding the correctness of the response. Alternatively, the response content may first be sent to the recipient to receive the feedback, and thereafter the response may be sent to the message originating individual.
