  • Patent number: 10605863
Abstract: Information is received describing test response signals generated by scan cells of an integrated circuit and physical shift failures representing mismatches between the test response signals and expected test response signals of the integrated circuit. The test response signals are mapped to a subset of the scan cells associated with the physical shift failures. Fault simulation is performed for the mapped subset of the scan cells to identify physical faults located within the integrated circuit causing the physical shift failures.

  • Publication number: 20200097883
Abstract: Methods and systems for ticket classification and response include clustering tickets according to semantic similarity to form ticket clusters. A template associated with each ticket cluster is determined that includes an invariant portion and a variable portion. A new ticket sub-class, based on the variable portion of the template, is determined that represents a specific sub-type of an existing class. A ticket taxonomy is updated to include the new ticket sub-class. The tickets are labeled according to the updated ticket taxonomy. The tickets are automatically responded to.

  • Publication number: 20200097388
Abstract: Techniques are described for generating prediction metrics that describe one or more predicted characteristics and/or outcomes of a software development project. Implementations employ machine learning (ML) algorithms to develop prediction models to predict characteristics of a project. For example, the models can be employed to predict a number of defects that may be present in a software product that is produced by a software development project. A model can be trained using input data captured from previous software projects, such as data describing the feature set of a software product, the timeline for its development, the particular type or domain of software, a number of modules, functions, etc., the particular number and/or identity of personnel working on the project, and so forth. Such input data can be analyzed to extract features that are provided as training data to train a model that is used to predict project metrics.

  • Publication number: 20200097968
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure discuss systems and methods for solving various issues associated with transaction schemes that have delayed (e.g., not real-time) transaction clearing. In particular, a first transaction between a user and a resource providing computer is processed under a first transaction scheme by having a user log into their account associated with an authorizing entity. The authorizing entity authenticates the user's account and provides an account identifier to a transaction guiding computer, which generates a reference to that first transaction to be stored along with first transaction details. The reference is shared with the resource providing computer. Subsequent transactions between the user and the resource providing computer can be processed under a second transaction scheme that utilizes the account identifier, which is retrieved using the reference to the first transaction.

  • Publication number: 20200100118
Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with wireless circuitry and control circuitry. The wireless circuitry may include a phased antenna array. Sensors and other circuitry in the electronic device may generate sensor data such as accelerometer data, gyroscope data, magnetometer data, location data, and spatial ranging data. The wireless circuitry may establish and maintain one or more wireless links with external devices based on the sensor data as the device moves over time. For example, the wireless circuitry may perform physical layer beam adjustments, inter-radio access technology handovers, intra-radio access technology handovers, and/or dual connectivity adjustments based on the sensor data. This may allow the device to maintain one or more wireless links without having to sweep the signal beam of the phased antenna array over its entire field of view each time the device has moved.

  • Patent number: 10601683
Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for improving the availability of a distributed application by computing scores for the application that indicate the extent to which the configuration of hosts implementing the application complies with best practices for maximizing availability. One score can be generated for the application based upon the physical location of the hosts used to implement the application and the components upon which the application is dependent. Another score can be generated for the application based upon the number of data centers that hosts executing the application are located in as compared to a minimum required number of data centers. Another score can be generated for the application based upon the distribution of hosts utilized to execute the application across data centers. Operations can be initiated for improving the scores, such as migrating a host to a new rack or server, or migrating a host to a different data center.

  • Patent number: 10600408
Abstract: Techniques for ensuring content output to a user conforms to a quality of the user's speech, even when a speechlet or skill ignores the speech's quality, are described. When a system receives speech, the system determines an indicator of the speech's quality (e.g., whispered, shouted, fast, slow, etc.) and persists the indicator in memory. When the system receives output content from a speechlet or skill, the system checks whether the output content is in conformity with the speech quality indicator. If the content conforms to the speech quality indicator, the system may cause the content to be output to the user without further manipulation. But, if the content does not conform to the speech quality indicator, the system may manipulate the content to render it in conformity with the speech quality indicator and output the manipulated content to the user.

  • Patent number: 10600419
Abstract: Techniques for performing command processing are described. A system receives, from a device, input data corresponding to a command. The system determines NLU processing results associated with multiple applications. The system also determines NLU confidences for the NLU processing results for each application. The system sends NLU processing results to a portion of the multiple applications, and receives output data or instructions from the portion of the applications. The system ranks the portion of the applications based at least in part on the NLU processing results associated with the portion of the applications as well as the output data or instructions provided by the portion of the applications. The system may also rank the portion of the applications using other data. The system causes content corresponding to output data or instructions provided by the highest ranked application to be output to a user.

  • Patent number: 10598596
Abstract: Naphthalene, benzene, toluene, xylene, and other volatile organic compounds VOCs have been identified as serious health hazards. Embodiments of the invention are directed to methods and apparatus for near-real-time in-situ detection and accumulated dose measurement of exposure to naphthalene vapor and other hazardous gaseous VOCs. The methods and apparatus employ excitation of fluorophors native or endogenous to compounds of interest using light sources emitting in the ultraviolet below 300 nm and measurement of native fluorescence emissions in distinct wavebands above the excitation wavelength. The apparatus of some embodiments are cell-phone-sized sensor/dosimeter “badges” to be worn by personnel potentially exposed to hazardous VOCs. The badge sensor of some embodiments provides both real time detection and data logging of exposure to naphthalene or other VOCs of interest from which both instantaneous and accumulated dose can be determined.

  • Publication number: 20200090340
Abstract: Embodiments of present disclosure discloses system and method for acquisition of optimal images of object in multi-layer sample. Initially, images for FOV of multi-layer sample comprising objects are retrieved. Each of images are captured by varying focal depth of image capturing unit associated with system. Further, objects associated with multi-layer sample in FOV are identified. For identification, cumulative foreground mask of FOV is obtained based on adaptive thresholding performed on foreground image of FOV. Based on contour detection performed on cumulative foreground mask of FOV, object masks, corresponding to objects, is obtained for identifying objects. Further, sharpness of each of images associated with each of object masks is computed. Based on sharpness, optimal images from images for each of objects is selected for acquisition of optimal images of objects in multi-layer sample.
