  • Publication number: 20190236959
Abstract: Methods and systems for forming a fleet and positioning vehicles in the fleet are disclosed. The system comprises a data transmission interface and a data processing unit. The data processing unit sends data to and receives data from the data transmission interface. The data processing unit determines an itinerary of each of a group of vehicles requesting to join a fleet. The data processing unit compares the itinerary of all vehicles of the group of vehicles. The data processing unit determines a second vehicle to form a fleet with a first vehicle from the group of vehicles. The data transmission interface communicates to the first vehicle a proposal to form a fleet with the second vehicle. The data processing unit determines if the first vehicle accepts the proposal, and if yes, determines instructions for the first vehicle how to join the fleet.

  • Publication number: 20190236002
Abstract: An in-line (or foreground) approach to obtaining contiguous ranges of free space in a file system of a data storage system that can select windows having blocks suitable for relocation at a time when one or more blocks within the respective windows are freed or de-allocated. By providing the in-line or foreground approach to obtaining contiguous ranges of free space in a file system, a more efficient determination of windows having blocks suitable for relocation can be achieved, thereby conserving processing resources of the data storage system.

  • Publication number: 20190238590
Abstract: Techniques for chunking data in data storage systems that provide increased data storage security across multiple cloud storage providers. The techniques employ a chunking engine and a policy engine, which evaluates one or more storage policies relating to, for example, cost, security, and/or network conditions in view of services and/or requirements of the multiple cloud storage providers. Having evaluated such storage policies, the policy engine generates and provides operating parameters to the chunking engine, which uses the operating parameters when chunking and/or distributing the data across the multiple cloud storage providers, thereby satisfying the respective storage policies. In this way, users of data storage systems obtain the benefits of cloud storage resources and/or services while reducing their data security concern and optimizing the total cost of data storage.

  • Publication number: 20190238661
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication at a UE. In aspects, a receiver may receive a transmission requesting information about support for data compression. The receiver may determine parameters related to the types of supported data compression and communicate the information to the transmitting device. In some cases, the receiver may then receive a message from the transmitting entity that requests establishment of a data compression configuration. The receiver may respond with confirmation or rejection of the proposed compression configuration. If the configuration is confirmed, the transmitter and receiver may exchange compressed data packets according to the configuration. The devices may exchange status and control information related to the compression configuration (e.g., in a compression header of a compressed message or a separate status and/or control information message).

  • Publication number: 20190236215
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing a distributed, hierarchical, and iterative data graph processing strategy are disclosed. A large data graph is partitioned and the partitions are clustered. Sets of keys and hashes are generated for each cluster and distributed to a plurality of processing machines. The processing machines recreate the partitions, based on received hashes and keys of the clusters of the first partitions, and the graph. Thereafter, the partitioning, clustering and processing is repeatable for the recreated graphs. The disclosed strategy enables processing of large and dynamic data graphs, including bipartite query-Uniform Resource Locator graphs.

  • Patent number: 10368391
Abstract: A communication device generates a physical layer (PHY) data unit that includes a PHY preamble and one or more PHY midambles. The communication generates the PHY preamble of the PHY data unit to include i) a signal field having a subfield that indicates that the PHY data unit includes one or more PHY midambles, ii) a short training field (STF) for automatic gain control (AGC) training and synchronization at a receiver, and iii) one or more long training fields (LTFs) for determining a channel estimate at the receiver. The communication generates a data payload of the PHY data unit having i) a set of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, and ii) one or more PHY midambles. Each of the one or more PHY midambles includes one or more LTFs for determining an updated channel estimate. The communication device transmits the PHY data unit via a wireless communication channel.

  • Patent number: 10364655
Abstract: In a hydrocarbon field including multiple production wells and injection wells, at a hydrocarbon field level, a long-term field-level target and optional long-term well-level targets for the field are received by a field-level processor. The long-term field-level target including a long-term field-level production target indicating a quantity of hydrocarbons to be produced and a long-term field-level injection target indicating a quantity of fluid to be injected into the field. The field-level processor determines short-term individual production targets for the production wells and short-term individual injection targets for the injection wells to achieve the long-term field-level target. At an individual well level, individual hydrocarbon productions of the production wells or individual fluid injections of the injection wells are controlled, by at least one individual well-level processor independent of the field-level processor, to achieve the long-term field-level target.

  • Patent number: 10365715
Abstract: A wearable gesture control interface apparatus samples first sensor data from one or more sensors in response to user motion, stores the first sensor data in memory, and determines whether the first sensor data meets a first threshold. If the first sensor data meets the first threshold, the interface apparatus samples second sensor data from the one or more sensors in response to subsequent user motion, stores the second sensor data in the memory, traces the first and second sensor data stored in the memory, and determines whether the second sensor data does not meet a second threshold. If the second sensor data is less than the second threshold, the interface apparatus performs pattern recognition on the traced first and second sensor data, and identifies a first gesture based on the pattern recognition of the traced first and second sensor data.
