  • Patent number: 10439904
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing compromised sensors in multi-tiered virtualized environments. A method includes determining a lineage for a process within the network and then evaluating, through knowledge of the lineage, the source of the command that initiated the process. The method includes capturing data from a plurality of capture agents at different layers of a network, each capture agent of the plurality of capture agents configured to observe network activity at a particular location in the network, developing, based on the data, a lineage for a process associated with the network activity and, based on the lineage, identifying an anomaly within the network.

  • Publication number: 20190303923
Abstract: Embodiments provide methods, and server systems for updating an existing currency plan profile to a currency plan profile for a payment card. The method includes facilitating, by an issuer server of a payment network, payment transaction between an issuer account associated with a payment card of a customer and an acquirer account associated with a travel booking entity. The payment transaction is associated with a foreign travel booking request. The method further includes generating a currency plan profile for the payment card in response to one or more travel details of the foreign travel booking request. The method includes providing the currency plan profile to the customer for approval of the customer. Upon receipt of the approval from the customer, an existing currency plan profile of the payment card is updated to the currency plan profile for facilitating a future payment transaction from the issuer account in a foreign destination.

  • Publication number: 20190306142
Abstract: A system includes a server computer system that may receive an authorization request from a first user for a transaction that includes a request for resources from a user account. The authorization request may include an identification value for a second, different user that has authorization authority for the user account. The server computer system may send transaction details to an authentication server that may make authorization determinations for the transaction based on a passcode and a reference value. The reference value may be generated based on the transaction details. The system may also receive confirmation data from the authentication server. This confirmation data may be generated by the authentication server based on the transaction details. The system may further send, to the first user, the passcode for communication to the second user, and may receive an indication whether the second user has authorized the transaction.

  • Patent number: 10432297
Abstract: The disclosure relates in some aspects to location reporting and paging for satellite communication. In one aspect, the disclosure relates to a user terminal (UT) sending a message to report information about the UT's location. A threshold may be used to control whether (e.g., when) the UT reports its location. The location information may be used to enforce area (e.g., country) restrictions for the UT. In one aspect, the disclosure relates to forwarding paging messages between network access controllers. For example, a network access controller that is not able to page a UT may forward a paging message to another network access controller. In one aspect, the disclosure relates to a list of paging areas that indicates where a UT need not perform a paging area update.

  • Patent number: 10430568
Abstract: A method provides device access security via use of periodically changing Quick Response (QR) codes. The method includes: generating (706) a first authentication QR code and assigning (708) the generated QR code as the current authentication mechanism for accessing the device. Contemporaneously with the generation of the QR code, at least one QR code validity parameter is established (710) to define when access to the device can be provided to a second device that provides the correct authentication QR code along with the access request. The method includes, in response to a pre-defined trigger (712) of the QR code validity parameter: generating (704) a new authentication QR code, different from a previously generated authentication QR code; assigning (708) the new authentication QR code as the current authentication mechanism for accessing the device; and enabling access to the first device to only second devices that provide the current authentication QR code.

  • Patent number: 10424026
Abstract: An approach is provided in which a risk assessment is performed that accesses the risk to a user of an information handling system due to the user's link to a social network contact. Risky action values is received with the values corresponding to the social network contact. A risk level is calculated with the risk level corresponding to one or more of the risky action values. A preventative security action is then performed based on the calculated risk level. In another embodiment, an approach is provided in which the potential risks posed by a user are transmitted to the user's social network contacts. In this approach, potentially risky actions that are performed by the user are detected. Risky action values are identified that correspond to the detected potentially risky actions. The risky action values are then transmitted to the user's social network contacts over a computer network.

  • Patent number: 10424338
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating video clips is provided herein. During operation, a processing device will receive multiple video feeds from multiple video sources. In order to reduce the difficulty in producing multiple clips from the multiple video sources, thumbnails of the captured content is displayed and one-click selection of start and stop points of each clip is allowed. An operator can then pick an annotation (metadata) from events in the game or enter a new one and apply it to any or all of the video clips. Suggested content is then displayed based on the metadata of this annotation and can be bundled with the video clips by choosing from the list of related content. All of this content is then bundled together in the database.

Each of the first jaw and the second jaw includes a plurality of teeth having a base. The bases of two adjacent teeth of the first jaw are spaced apart to form a first gap, and the bases of two adjacent teeth on the second jaw are spaced apart to form a second gap. The end effector in the closed configuration may define one or more windows between edges of the first and the second jaws. And, at least one of these windows may include at least a portion of one or both of the first and second gaps.
