  • Publication number: 20170056043
Abstract: An instrument for treating a sinus cavity includes a cutter member, a rotatable member, and a fluid passage. The cutter member has a lumen extending therealong, and the rotatable member is received within the lumen. The rotatable member has a helical blade projecting from a distal end portion. The cutter member is configured to translate relative to the rotatable member. Thereby, the cutter member and the rotatable blade are configured to form an opening into the sinus cavity. The fluid passage extends through the cutter member from an inlet to an outlet. The outlet is positioned proximal to the helical blade such that the outlet is configured to fluidly communicate with the sinus cavity. • Publication number: 20170057502
Abstract: An automated vehicle can generate a path. Sensor data of at least a forward portion of an external environment of the vehicle can be acquired. One or more travel lane markers of a current travel path of the automated vehicle can be identified from the acquired sensor data. A detection range of the acquired sensor data can be determined. A set of travel lane parameters based on the identified one or more travel lane markers can be determined. In at least some instances, the set of travel lane parameters can include at least: offset, curvature, curvature derivative, and yaw. It can be determined whether any of the determined travel lane parameters are reliable based on the determined detection range. In one or more arrangements, a vehicle path can be determined based at least partially on the travel lane parameters that are determined as being reliable.

  • Patent number: 9582342
Abstract: A communication device and associated method which is configured to utilize an API constraint language for communication of resource constraints between different layers of a communication stack. A first layer of the communication stack executing in a first communication device may receive application programming interface (API) messages from a second layer of the communication stack also executing in the first communication device. In addition, the first layer may receive resource constraints with the one or more API messages. These one or more resource constraints may be generated by the second layer, or other software executing in the communication device. The first layer may then execute communication functions based on the API messages and subject to the resource constraints. The resource constraints may affect usage of hardware and/or software resources of the first communication device during execution of the communication functions.

  • Patent number: 9582280
Abstract: The description covers a system and method for operating a micro-processing system having a runahead mode of operation. In one implementation, the method includes providing, for a first portion of code, a runahead correlate. When the first portion of code is encountered by the micro-processing system, a determination is made as to whether the system is operating in the runahead mode. If so, the system branches to the runahead correlate, which is specifically configured to identify and resolve latency events likely to occur when the first portion of code is encountered outside of runahead. Branching out of the first portion of code may also be performed based on a determination that a register is poisoned.

  • Patent number: 9582600
Abstract: Techniques and solutions for providing a cloud browse service are described. For example, a client can request a web page. In response to the request, the client can receive a processed layer tree representing the web page. The processed layer tree can be created by a server environment (e.g., by creating an original DOM from obtained HTML and associated web page resources for the web page and creating the processed layers from the original DOM). The client can create a simplified DOM from the received processed layers and display the web page using the simplified DOM. Techniques and solutions for providing a browser as a service are described. For example, a web browser component can receive a processed layer tree representing a web page, create a simplified DOM, and display the web page.

  • Publication number: 20170054590
Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to systems and methods of providing access to logs and/or history information for jobs that were processed or run on a cluster that was automatically terminated. In some embodiments, systems may include a persistence component, configured to save job history, configuration, and/or log files related to a cluster even after the cluster is terminated; a terminated job history server, configured to serve requests for logs and histories associated with jobs that ran on terminated clusters; and a cluster proxy, providing a proxy layer to redirect requests regarding terminated cluster job history, configuration, and/or log files to the terminated job history server. Methods may include directing by a cluster proxy a user request to a terminated job history server and providing, by the terminated job history server through access to a storage facility, access to logs and/or history information requested by the user.

  • Publication number: 20170052879
Abstract: A system that manages a unified sandbox environment activates a plurality of components in the unified sandbox environment, each component being configured to manage the lifecycle of its own component data. The system orchestrates an operation across the unified sandbox environment, the orchestrating including delegating one or more operations to the components, the components being configured to wait until all delegated operations are completed successfully before committing changes based on the delegated operations. The system manages a central label repository including distributing labels to the components, the components being configured to associate the centrally managed labels with versions of their respective component data. The system then creates a unified sandbox view across the respective component data of all components based on a selection of one or more of the centrally managed labels.

  • Publication number: 20170054802
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to data replication in a distributed computing system. The system ensures a read-after-write consistency for the replicated data by associating the write requests with unique version numbers, and using them to obtain the data. A server associates a write request with a unique version number, and returns the version number to a client, which can use it in a subsequent read request for the data. On receiving a read request for a first data, the server extracts the version number from the request and ensures a specified write request associated with the version number is processed prior to obtaining the data. If the specified write request is processed, the server obtains the data and returns it to the client, else the server processes the pending write requests up until the version number and then the specified write request, and returns the specified data to the client.

  • Patent number: 9578679
Abstract: A wireless mobile communication device includes a wireless communication subsystem configured to wirelessly communicate through a local data access point to cause a query to be delivered to a remote access point location database. The location database contains information about the location of local data access points within a widespread area. The query is for location information for data access points located near the wireless device. The wireless device receives nearby access point location information from the database, and the device causes at least a portion of the access point location information to be delivered to a user. This may be done through a user interface, upon request of the user, and while the wireless communication subsystem is not connected to a local data access point.

  • Publication number: 20170048790
Abstract: In one aspect, wireless communications may be provided by routing packets from a wireless communication device to a wide area network via a first network, wherein the packets comprise data for a first service and a second service. Upon determining that a second network is assigned as a default network, data for the first service and the second service may be selectively assigned the to the first network or the second network based at least in part upon whether the second network is assigned as the default network and further based at least in part on a quality of service requirement of the first service and the second service respectively. The first service may comprise an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) service. The first network can comprise a wireless wide area network (WWAN), and the second network can comprise a wireless local area network (WLAN) or an Ethernet network.

  • Publication number: 20170048304
Abstract: A pre-boot file transfer system includes at least one server device that creates a plurality of packets for a file and provides a respective file offset value for each of the plurality of packets in a header of that packet. The at least one server device transmits each of the plurality of packets over a network to a client device that is in a pre-boot environment. The client device receives each of the plurality of packets and stores the plurality of packets in a receive buffer in the order that the plurality of packets were received. The client device then writes the plurality of packets that were stored in the receive buffer into an application buffer in an order that is defined by the respective file offset values for the plurality of packets.
