  • Patent number: 8954918
Abstract: Roughly described, a scan-based test architecture is optimized in dependence upon the circuit design under consideration. In one embodiment, a plurality of candidate test designs are developed. For each, a plurality of test vectors are generated in dependence upon the circuit design and the candidate test design, preferably using the same ATPG algorithm that will be used downstream to generate the final test vectors for the production integrated circuit device. A test protocol quality measure such as fault coverage is determined for each of the candidate test designs, and one of the candidate test designs is selected for implementation in an integrated circuit device in dependence upon a comparison of such test protocol quality measures. Preferably, only a sampling of the full set of test vectors that ATPG could generate, is used to determine the number of potential faults that would be found by each particular candidate test design.

Abstract: The present invention describes systems and methods for harvesting energy from an alternating magnetic field. An exemplary embodiment can include a flux concentrator having an open core coil wherein a first current with a first voltage is induced in the flux concentrator when placed proximate an alternating magnetic field. Additionally, the system can include a transformer, having a first and second winding, connected to the flux concentrator and inducing a second current in the second winding, wherein the second current has a second voltage higher than the first voltage and a threshold voltage of a first and second diode. Furthermore, the system can include a converter, connected to the secondary winding for charging the leakage inductance of the secondary winding by creating a short circuit between the secondary winding and the converter; and the diodes connected to the secondary winding and the converter for discharging the leakage inductance.

  • Publication number: 20150038129
Abstract: In one implementation, a wireless network device is automatically accessed and configured through a mobile device. The mobile device receives provisioning data encoded for installation and operation of a network device and decodes the provisioning data to identify at least one access parameter for the network device. The mobile device accesses a wireless network of the network device according to the access parameter. Once access has been established, the mobile device transmits a configuration signal including a network configuration setting through the wireless network to the network device for the installation of the network device. The network device is provisioned based on the network configuration setting.

  • Publication number: 20150036668
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for avoiding power scaling and controlling transmit power in uplink data transmission are provided. If a user equipment (UE) would be transmit-power limited when transmitting data concurrently on an uplink high speed dedicated physical control channel (HS-DPCCH) and an uplink data channel, the UE may forgo building data for transmission on the uplink data channel to avoid power scaling. If the UE would be transmit-power limited when transmitting data concurrently on an HS-DPCCH and a dedicated physical control channel (DPCCH), the UE may reduce the transmission power of a portion of the data transmitted on the DPCCH to avoid power scaling. The UE may also boost transmission power of a negative acknowledge transmission above network-specified power level.

  • Patent number: 8948995
Abstract: A platoon model allows improved prediction of preceding vehicle future state. In this context, the preceding vehicle is a vehicle immediately ahead of the host vehicle, and the dynamic state of the preceding vehicle was predicted based on data received from one or more vehicles in the platoon. The intelligent driver model (IDM) was extended to model car-following dynamics within a platoon. A parameter estimation approach may be used to estimate the model parameters, for example to adapt to different driver types. An integrated approach including both state prediction and parameter estimation was highly effective.

  • Patent number: 8941538
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for directing radiated energy from a transmitting device towards a receiving device using multiple antennas. Channel weights, representing signal attenuation and a phase rotation induced by a transmission medium, are determined at a transmitting device. A set of steering weights are determined based on applying an iterative linear transform to an initial value of the steering weights, where the linear transform depends on the determined channel weights. A final value of the steering weights is applied to an input signal to produce a transmit signal, and the transmit signal is transmitted using multiple antennas.

  • Patent number: 8943570
Abstract: Exemplary network infrastructures and methods employing a Security Gateway utilize client authentication for use of a secure connection between an application client and an application server of a protected network. Once a secure connection has been set up, a Security Gateway can start a timer for establishing a period within which a password and username are to be received from the application client before traffic is allowed to exit the Security Gateway. If a username and password are provided while the timer is running, the Security Gateway can contact a single sign on (SSO) server to check whether the username and password are correct. If the username and password are valid, the Security Gateway can start relaying traffic externally to the application server. If an invalid username and password are provided or the timer times out before receipt of a username and password, the secure connection can be terminated.
