  • Publication number: 20140337365
Abstract: A similarity measure is computed between nodes of first and second networks. Sets of pairwise scores are computed to find nodes in the individual networks that are good matches to one another. A pairwise score is computed for a node i in the first network and a node j in the second network. Similar pairwise scores are computed for each of the nodes in each network. The process identifies node pairs that exhibit high pairwise values. Preferably, nodes i and j are a good match if their neighbors are a good match. This technique produces a measure of network similarity. If node feature data is available, nodes i and j are considered a good match if their neighbors are a good match (network similarity) and their node features are a good match (node similarity). Using the similarity scores, a common subgraph between the first and second networks is computed.

  • Publication number: 20140334318
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for determining available uplink bandwidth as an achievable throughput for a link. An available link capacity of a link with a cell for a user equipment is estimated based on a communication quality measured in the cell. An available fraction of cell resources for the user equipment over the link is also estimated based at least in part on received assistance information. An available bandwidth of the cell is then estimated as an achievable throughput for the user equipment over the link as a function of the estimated available link capacity and the estimated available fraction of cell resources. Moreover, a network procedure can be performed based at least in part on comparing the achievable throughput to one or more thresholds.

  • Publication number: 20140324604
Abstract: A system and method automatically transforms preexisting advertising creatives adapted for a first content service environment into advertising creatives for a second content service environment. The transformed advertising creative are then suitable for initiating a new advertising campaign. In one example, the system transforms advertising creatives from search advertisements and display advertisements into creatives for a stream advertising campaign. Stream advertisements may then be placed into a stream of content displayed on a user device. The transformed advertising creatives may be included in a proposal to a prospective advertiser. The advertiser then can choose to accept the proposal. The process of creating new advertising creatives for the proposal to the advertiser is simplified, automated and made more efficient.

  • Patent number: 8870035
Abstract: A dispensing device having a housing capable of receiving a pre-packaged charge of pre-whipped topping or icing. The housing has an inner wall with a slot formed therein for receiving a rack that is capable of rotational and translational motion within the slot. The rack has a set of gear teeth that engage with a catch on a plunger. The piston moves in the axial direction to force the pre-whipped topping or icing through the outlet in its packaging. The catch on the piston is locked in one direction and pivots in the opposite direction such that the rack engages with the piston when it moves in a first direction and the rack disengages with the piston when it is moved in a second direction opposite the first direction.

  • Patent number: 8873684
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for computing soft information for digital information based on a received signal, where the received signal suffers from noise and interference. A receiver that decodes the received signal may estimate channel information, such as the channel gain, associated with the interfering source. The receiver may also obtain modulation information through a backbone network or by decoding control information transmitted by the interfering source. Using the modulation information and the channel information, the receiver may estimate the effect that interference has on the received signal, and may compute soft information (e.g., a log-likelihood ratio) for the digital information.
