    Abstract: Vehicle perception techniques include applying a 3D DNN to a set of inputs to generate 3D detection results including a set of 3D objects, transforming the set of 3D objects onto a set of images as a first set of 2D bounding boxes, applying a 2D DNN to the set of images to generate 2D detection results including a second set of 2D bounding boxes, calculating mean average precision (mAP) values based on a comparison between the first and second sets of 2D bounding boxes, identifying a set or corner cases based on the calculated mAP values, and re-training or updating the 3D DNN using the identified set of corner cases, wherein a performance of the 3D DNN is thereby increased without the use of expensive additional manually and/or automatically annotated training datasets.

    Abstract: A selective thermal atomic layer deposition (ALD) process is disclosed. The process may comprise loading a substrate comprising a dielectric material, and a metal, into a reactor. The substrate may be reacted with a non-plasma based oxidant, thereby forming an oxidized metal surface on the metal. The substrate may be heated and exposed to a passivation agent that adsorbs more onto the oxidized metal than the dielectric material. Such exposure may form a passivation layer on the oxidized metal surface, and the substrate may be exposed to a silicon precursor that adsorbs more onto the dielectric material than the passivation layer, forming a chemi-adsorbed silicon-containing layer on the dielectric material. The substrate may be exposed to the non-plasma based oxidant, that simultaneously partially oxidizes the passivation layer, and oxidizes the chemi-adsorbed silicon-containing layer to form a silicon-containing dielectric film on the dielectric material.

    Abstract: Certain embodiments disclosed herein reduce or eliminate a communication bottleneck at the storage manager by reducing communication with the storage manager while maintaining functionality of an information management system. In some implementations, a client obtains information for enabling a secondary storage job (e.g., a backup or restore) from a storage manager and stores the information (which may be referred to as job metadata) in a local cache. The client may then reuse the job metadata for multiple storage jobs reducing the frequency of communication with the storage manager. When a configuration of the information management system changes, or the availability of resources changes, the storage manager can push updates to the job metadata to the clients. Further, a client can periodically request updated job metadata from the storage manager ensuring that the client does not rely on out-of-date job metadata.

In an example method, a schedule is generated by selecting, for a first slot in the schedule, a first computing job based on a first priority of the first computing job with respect to a first characteristic. A second computing job is selected for a second slot in the schedule based on a second priority of the second computing job with respect to a second characteristic. The second slot occurs after the first slot in the schedule, and the second characteristic is different than the first characteristic. The first characteristic or the second characteristic includes an execution frequency. The computing jobs are executed based on the schedule.

The system may determine characteristics unique to a user input. The system may generate an implicit voice profile from user inputs having similar characteristics. After an implicit voice profile is generated, the system may receive a user input having speech characteristics similar to that of the implicit voice profile. The system may ask the user if the user wants the system to associate the implicit voice profile with a particular user identifier. If the user responds affirmatively, the system may request an identifier of a user profile (e.g., a user name). In response to receiving the user's name, the system may identify a user profile associated with the name and associate the implicit voice profile with the user profile, thereby converting the implicit voice profile into an explicit voice profile.
