  • Publication number: 20150230711
    Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to medical systems and methods. In one aspect of the invention, a method includes determining a fluorescent light intensity at one or more points on each of multiple recorded images, and producing an image based on the determined fluorescent light intensity at the one or more points.

  • Publication number: 20150119835
    Abstract: Embodiments relate to an ophthalmology microscopy-system and a method of operating an ophthalmology microscopy-system which allow for an at least partial or full removal of liquids and gels used in ophthalmology for application in an eye of a patient in an particularly efficient way. Further embodiments relate to a product such as a liquid or a gel usable for an application in an eye of a patient, wherein the product has a high transmittance and, nevertheless, may be made visible particularly well.

  • Publication number: 20140211306
    Abstract: A set of filters for fluorescence observation comprises an illumination light filter and an observation light filter, wherein the following is holds: ? S ? T L ? ( r -> ) · T O ? ( r -> ) · r -> · ? r ? S ? T L ? ( r -> ) · T O ? ( r -> ) · ? r = R -> ? ? and ( 3 ) ? W -> - R -> ? ? 0.2 ; ( 4 ) wherein: ? designates the wavelength, TL(?) is the transmission characteristic of the illumination light filter, TO(?) is the transmission characteristic of the observation light filter, and A1, A2 are numbers between 0 and 1, {right arrow over (r)} is a coordinate in the CIE xy chromaticity diagram of the CIE 1931 XYZ color space, S is a line called the spectral locus in the CIE xy chromaticity diagram of the CIE 1931 XYZ color space, and {right arrow over (W)} is the white point in the CIE xy chromaticity diagram of the CIE 1931 XYZ color space.

  • Publication number: 20130307953
    Abstract: The invention relates to a system for visualizing characteristic tissue with a colorant in a surgical region. The system contains a detection unit which detects light from at least one object point in the surgical region. The system has a computer unit which is connected to the detection unit and drives a visualization unit which displays an image of an area in the surgical region. The computer unit determines the color coordinate in a color space with respect to the light from a point from the object point in the surgical region. Depending on the position of the color coordinate determined with respect to the object point, the computer unit calculates a color coordinate information (“0”, “1”) for controlling the visualization unit by comparing information concerning the determined color coordinate of the object point with information concerning a characteristic reference color coordinate.
