Patent number: 11527177Abstract: Tamper-evident features for containers. A tamper-evident film is target printed onto a sheet material that is thermoformable. The sheet is thermoformed into a container base or lid having a desired shape, such that the tamper-evident film is positioned in a desired area. A container lid is disposed on the container base, and heat sealed to a rim or edge of the container base. The heat sealing activates an adhesive of the tamper-evident film, and when the container lid is removed or separated from the container base, a first portion of the tamper-evident film remains on the container lid and a second portion remains on the container base. The separation of the tamper-evident film provides an indication of tampering.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2019Date of Patent: December 13, 2022Assignee: D&W Fine PackInventors: Roland R. Patent number: 11526407Abstract: Techniques are described for managing access of executing programs to non-local block data storage. In some situations, a block data storage service uses multiple server storage systems to reliably store copies of network-accessible block data storage volumes that may be used by programs executing on other physical computing systems, and snapshot copies of some volumes may also be stored (e.g., on remote archival storage systems). A group of multiple server block data storage systems that store block data volumes may in some situations be co-located at a data center, and programs that use volumes stored there may execute on other computing systems at that data center, while the archival storage systems may be located outside the data center. The snapshot copies of volumes may be used in various ways, including to allow users to obtain their own copies of other users' volumes (e.g., for a fee).Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2020Date of Patent: December 13, 2022Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Peter N. Patent number: 11526729Abstract: A method is provided for detecting a higher-level action from one or more trajectories of real states. The trajectories are based on an experts' action demonstration. The method trains predictors to predict future states. Each predictor has a different duration of the higher-level action to be detected. The method predicts, using the predictors, the future states using past ones of the real states in the one or more trajectories as inputs for the predictors. The method determines if a match exists between any of the future states relative to a real future state with a corresponding same duration from the one or more trajectories. The method outputs a pair that includes the matching one of the future states as a prediction input and the real future state with the corresponding same duration from the one or more trajectories as the higher-level action corresponding thereto, responsive to the match existing.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2019Date of Patent: December 13, 2022Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Michiaki Tatsubori, Roland Everett Fall, III, Don Joven R. Publication number: 20220391363Abstract: Techniques and solutions are described for converting data models between formats, such as between a conceptual data model and a physical data model for a database system, or between a conceptual data model and artefacts to be implemented in the database system. The conceptual data model is annotated with annotations that allow the physical data model or database artefacts to be automatically generated from the conceptual data model. The annotations can reflect relationships between entity types in the physical data model, such as inheritance relationships, header/item relationships, or one-to-one cardinality relationships. Annotations can also indicate attributes that should be added to entity types in the conceptual data model, such as attributes for versioning or data governance, that may not be used in the conceptual data model. Annotations can be used to determine how entity types in the conceptual data model will be denormalized in the physical data model.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 12, 2022Publication date: December 8, 2022Applicant: SAP SEInventors: Jan Portisch, Bjoern Pantel, Benjamin Merkle, Stephan Schub, Sandra Bracholdt, Roland Kolata, Michael Hladik, Christoph Meinel
