  • Patent number: 4812356
Abstract: A one-component coating composition of35 to 60 wt.-% isocyanate prepolymer8 to 15 wt.-% plasticizer0.3 to 2 wt.-% antisettling agent2 to 10 wt.-% flaky extender5 to 25 wt.-% colorant pigments1 to 3 wt.-% moisture-binding agent, and10 to 20 wt.-% aliphatic estersprovides, on a flexible substrate such as artifical leather, plastic film, paper, roofing felt, polyurethane hard and soft foams, metal foils, concrete and the like, an extraordinarily elastic, tightly adherent coating film of high covering power and light resistance. Furthermore, it has good resistance to abrasion and to weathering, even to aggressive media such as sea water and chemicals.

  • Patent number: 4603107
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the kinetic determination of .gamma.-glutamyl transferase activity by the reaction of a .gamma.-glutamylarylamide with the formation of an arylamine at a pH value of from 6 to 10, wherein the arylamine is simultaneously reacted with an aromatic amine or phenol appropriate as a coupling component and an appropriate oxidation agent to give a colored compound with an absorption maximum above 565 nm, the rate of formation of which is monitored photometrically and is used as a measure for the .gamma.-glutamyl transferase activity. The present invention also provides a reagent for the kinetic determination of .gamma.-GT activity, wherein it contains the following reagents:.gamma.-GT-arylamide:1-100 mmol/l..gamma.-glutamyl acceptor (glycylglycine):10-500 mmol/l.coupling component:1-500 mmol/l.oxidation agent:0.1-500 mmol/l.buffer:10-1000 mmol/l.

  • Patent number: 4567230
Abstract: A moisture-setting single-component coating composition has a content of 15 to 70 wt.-% of polyurethane-forming isocyanate, 5 to 25 wt.-% of light-colored, liquid, aromatic hydrocarbon resin of low molecular weight containing hydroxyl groups, 0.2 to 2 wt.-% of antisettling agent, 10 to 35 wt.-% of foliated filler, 2 to 25 wt.-% of tinting pigments, 1 to 5 wt.-% of moisture-binding agent, remainder, but no less than 5 wt.-% of conventional paint solvent. This coating composition can be applied in a conventional manner to a dirt- and dust-free substrate in a thickness of at least 20 microns, and sets of itself by the access of moisture from the ambient atmosphere. The coating composition is suitable especially for the protection of roofs of all kinds, for coating concrete, for protecting reinforced concrete against corrosion, for the painting of steel roofs and/or for the sealing of flat roofs covered with roofing felt.
