  • Patent number: 11883094
Abstract: An ablation instrument (e.g., an ablation balloon catheter system) includes an elongate catheter having a housing with a window formed therein. An energy emitter is coupled to the elongate catheter and is configured to deliver ablative energy. A controller is received within the window and is coupled to the energy emitter such that axial movement of the controller within the window is translated to axial movement of the energy emitter and rotation of the controller within the window is translated into rotation of the energy emitter. The instrument includes a motor that is at least partially disposed within the housing of the catheter; a first gear that is operatively connected to and driven by the motor; and a second gear that is coupled to the energy emitter and is driven by the first gear to cause rotation of the energy emitter, while allowing the energy emitter to move axially.

  • Publication number: 20230405277
Abstract: An antimicrobial light dressing device, system and method for a percutaneous treatment that bathes a treatment region around the percutaneous insertion with an antibacterial illumination source for preventing pathogens around the insertion from entering via the dermal puncture created by the insertion. The antimicrobial light dressing device combines a circumferential body centered around the insertion, and an arrangement of LEDs around the body that focus the light around the insertion and onto a therapeutic region of the insertion. An opening in the circumferential body has an articulated protrusion for offsetting a medicinal vessel such as an IV tube off the skin surface to avoid blocking light to an area under the vessel.

  • Patent number: 10560464
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for use in identifying and/or detecting electronic message containing malicious content. One exemplary method includes receiving multiple electronic tags. Each of the multiple electronic tags corresponds to an electronic message and a use, and the user caused the electronic tag to be associated with the electronic message based on a perception that the electronic message included malicious content. The exemplary method further includes assigning, for each electronic tag, point(s) to the corresponding user when the corresponding electronic message includes malicious content, totaling, for each user, the point(s) assigned during a predefined interval, and identifying one of the user(s) with a highest total point(s), for the defined interval, as a winner, thereby incentivizing users to associate electronic tags with electronic message perceived to include malicious content.

  • Patent number: 9668584
Abstract: Mediation sitting cushions and mats allow the user to meditate in comfort for great lengths of time, avoiding stress and pain often caused by traditional meditation cushions and mats. The layered mediation sitting cushions and mats combine a slow recovery visco-elastic foam (“VEF”), having load deformation properties and densities, with one or more base layers of a batting support. The sitting cushions and mats enable a person seated in traditional meditative positions to achieve a comfortable posture, regardless of the meditator's size or weight. The sitting cushions and mats also allow people to meditate in traditional cross-legged or kneeling postures comfortably, without irritation or pain. The mediation sitting cushions and mats also maintain of the pelvis in a neutral or slightly anterior position, resulting in proper alignment of the pelvis and spine, which minimizes the muscular and ligamentous strain caused by sitting in stillness for long periods of time.

  • Patent number: 7855623
Abstract: A transmission structure having high propagation velocity and a low effective dielectric loss. The structure comprises a dielectric, a first reference conductor disposed below the dielectric, a signal conductor disposed above the dielectric, and a second reference conductor disposed over the signal conductor. The second reference conductor has a recess portion facing the signal conductor, the recess portion defining a gap between the second reference conductor and the signal conductor. The gap may be filled with air which has a relative dielectric constant approximately equal to one (1). Because of the physical and dielectric constant characteristics of the gap, the structure concentrates an electric field in the gap resulting in an effective dielectric constant approximately (approaching) one (1) and an effective dielectric loss approximately equal to zero (0). Thus, the structure exhibits a propagation velocity approximately equal to the speed of light.

  • Publication number: 20090185682
Abstract: Systems and methods for improving HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) authentication with DVI or HDMI receiver devices are provided. An HDCP transmitting apparatus according to the invention may include a computer and a look-up table accessible by the computer. The look-up table may include a database for storing an interoperability characteristic for an HDCP receiving device. The computer can communicate with the HDCP receiving device. The computer may also insert a delay in an initiation of the authentication and/or communication of content between the HDCP transmitting apparatus and the HDCP receiving device. The magnitude of the delay may be based on an interoperability characteristic retrieved from the look-up table that corresponds to the HDCP receiving device. The inserting may occur prior to the implementation of authentication initiation and ongoing link integrity checking between the transmitting apparatus and the HDCP receiving device.
