Patent number: 11241128Abstract: A toilet assembly includes a toilet with a bowl, a rim surrounding the bowl, and a water inlet pipe extending upward from a rear of the toilet, a toilet seat that rests on the rim and has an opening positioned above the bowl, and an attachment connected to the inlet pipe and the toilet seat. The attachment may include a coupling engaging the inlet pipe and a hinge connection connected to the coupling, where the seat is pivotably connected to the hinge connection of the attachment to pivotably mount the seat on the toilet, such that the seat is pivotable about the hinge connection between a raised position and a lowered position. The coupling may engage the inlet pipe such that the hinge connection is positioned and connected to the seat at a location spaced upward from the top surface of the rear of the toilet.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2019Date of Patent: February 8, 2022Assignee: Sloan Valve CompanyInventor: Ronald J. Patent number: 10508423Abstract: An automatic faucet includes a housing forming partially an internal barrel and a faucet head and being constructed to include at least one water inlet conduit extending into said barrel and a water outlet for delivering water from a spout. The automatic faucet also includes a faucet head having a removable faucet crown and the spout, wherein the faucet crown is removably mounted to the faucet head. The automatic faucet also includes a valve module, a sensor module, a battery module, a turbine module, and a control module. The valve module includes a valve controlled by an electromagnetic actuator for controlling the water flow from the spout. The sensor module is constructed to provide sensor data influenced by a user. The control module is constructed to control opening and closing of the valve by providing signals to the electromagnetic actuator. The control module is also constructed to receive sensor data from the sensor module and execute a sensing algorithm.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2014Date of Patent: December 17, 2019Inventors: Kay Herbert, Xiaoxiong Mo, Jeff Krull, Jean F. Daher, Qiaohong Chen, Ronald J. Vish, Fatih Guler, Xu Wang, Stanley O Thompson, David L. Carpenter

Patent number: 6685074Abstract: A dispensing apparatus and method are disclosed for dispensing sheet material from at least one roll of the sheet material. Dispensing is transferred from a stub roll to a reserve roll automatically in response to sensing a predetermined quantity of the stub roll. An isolating element is provided to lift the reserve roll out of contact with dispensing rollers during dispensing of sheet material from the stub roll, and a nipping element is provided to nip sheet material of the reserve roll when dispensing is transferred from the stub roll to the reserve roll. A cam controls movement of both the isolating element and the nipping element. Structure is also provided for sensing the diameter of the reserve roll of sheet material and providing an indication when the reserve roll is a predetermined diameter. The dispenser is quiet and capacity efficient.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2002Date of Patent: February 3, 2004Assignee: Fort James CorporationInventors: Dale T. Gracyalny, David Carpenter, Kamala Grasso, Douglas W. Johnson, Peter D. Johnson, John E. Longan, John R. Moody, Hugh L. Smith, Ronald J. Vish
