  • Publication number: 20080215740
Abstract: A method, system and computer program for utilizing destination information stored in a database are disclosed. The database is queried for information about a service located at a destination, and location information of a requesting party is determined. Routing information is determined based upon the location information of the requesting party and the destination information of the service. The routing information is utilized to establish a route between the requesting party and the destination of the service.

  • Patent number: 7382870
Abstract: A method and system are provided for routing a call to a common number from a calling party, where the common number corresponds to a plurality of users. The method and system determine whether availability of unique identification information for the calling party in response to receiving an indication of the call to the common number, and correlate the unique identification information when it is available to a destination number associated with one of the plurality of users in order to route the call to the destination number.

  • Publication number: 20070282056
Abstract: The invention relates to a polyester composition for use in mirror optic systems such as headlights for motor vehicles and reflector lamps comprising energy saving lamps, comprising a polybutylene terephthalate resin (PBT) and having a cyclic dimer content of less than 0.35 wt. %, relative to the weight of the PBT, and which composition further comprises a second polymer selected from the group consisting of polyethyleneglycol terephthalate (PET), PET copolymers, polybutylene naphthanate (PBN), PBN-copolymers, polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT), PTT-copolymers, polyethyleneglycolnaphthanate (PEN), PEN-copolymers, polycyclohexanedimethylene terephthalate (PCT), PCT-copolymers, aromatic polycarbonates and aromatic polyester carbonates (APEC), in an amount of 1-40 wt. %, relative to the total weight of PBT and the second polymer. The invention also relates to a process for preparing the composition, use of the composition for making moulded parts and to a moulded part made of the composition.

  • Patent number: 7151844
Abstract: An image sensor comprising an integrated circuit chip that includes both a pixel array and edge detection circuitry hardwired together on the chip. The pixel array provides an addressable, non-destructive readout of the pixel data, with the edge detection circuit providing a hardwired implementation of a pair of n×n masks that are convolved with the pixel array data to thereby generate horizontal and vertical edge data that is combined together and outputted by the image sensor. The masks are implemented as a pair of one-dimensional filters, with one of the filters being a one-dimensional Gaussian filter used to smooth the pixel data along one axis and the other filter providing a first derivative Gaussian function to detect edges along the other, orthogonal axis.

  • Patent number: 7136473
Abstract: A method and system are provided for selecting a destination number upon receiving a dialed number from a calling party. The preferred embodiments include a telecommunications system that, after receiving a dialed number from a calling party, selects a particular destination number and routes the call to that number. In one preferred embodiment, information about the calling party's end office, such as an originating point code, is used to select a destination number. In another preferred embodiment, destination numbers are stored in a plurality of database locations in the system, and the zip code of the calling party is used to select the appropriate database to query for the destination number. Since the database location selection is independent of the dialed number, the system—not the number dialed by the calling party—determines the appropriate database location to query. These preferred embodiments can be used in a variety of situations and find particular use in a non-emergency service environment.

  • Publication number: 20060207172
Abstract: An apparatus and method for nondestructively acquiring images of a plant root system is described. The apparatus includes a substrate for supporting the plant root system, a container for holding the substrate, an x-ray radiation source for generating x-ray radiation and directing the radiation to pass through the plant root system, and an x-ray image capture system for receiving the x-ray radiation having passed through the plant root system and for generating an image of the plant root system based on the radiation. The x-ray radiation source generates x-ray radiation having an energy level in the range of about 8 keV to about 20 keV. In this energy range, the attenuation of the x-ray radiation due to air is minimized and the contrast between the root system and the container and substrate is sufficiently high to provide a resolvable image.

  • Patent number: 6840268
Abstract: A high-pressure connector for a fuel injection system including an elongated body having an inlet that is in fluid communication with a source of high-pressure fuel, an outlet in fluid communication with the inlet of a fuel injector and a fuel passage extending therebetween. A filter is supported within the fuel passage and acts to filter particulates from the high-pressure fuel. A fuel flow limiter is supported within the fuel passage and is operable to provide predetermined quantities of fuel to pass between the inlet and the outlet at each injection event during normal operation of the combustion chamber serviced by the injector and to automatically terminate fuel flow through the connector in the event of a malfunction at the combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 6810776
Abstract: A garbage disposal unjamming device having a vertical shaft 14, a horizontal handle 10 at one end of the shaft, and at the other end of the shaft, a straight horizontal toolbar 16. The toolbar is slidably secured to the shaft through a transverse passage 20 in the shaft. The toolbar's ends 18 are slightly flared to prevent it from slipping out. When the toolbar is moved entirely to one side of the shaft so that one flared end is adjacent to the shaft, the toolbar can be angled into or out of the narrow sink opening of the disposal unit. Inside the unit, the toolbar is tapped to center it on the shaft. In this position it can engage the two opposing cutters on the rotor plate to rotate the plate and unjam the disposal unit.
