  • Publication number: 20210097719
Abstract: A method for aligning and merging contents from multiple collaborative workstations. Collaborative workstations are multiple workstations that contribute respective contents to be combined into a single computer-generated output. The content generated from each collaborative workstation is the collaborative content. Individual collaborative content is created from each workstation by a user drawing on a piece of paper that is placed on a workspace surface of the workstation. Collaborative contents contributed by multiple workstations are aligned such that a combined product (i.e., a single computer-generated output) including both virtual and physical content appears to be collaboratively drawn by multiple users on a single piece of paper.

  • Publication number: 20200403302
Abstract: In examples, systems and methods for direction finding of electromagnetic signals are described. The device includes a first antenna configured to receive electromagnetic energy. The device also includes a second antenna configured to separately receive the same electromagnetic energy. The device further includes a radome located in a receiving pathway of the first antenna, where the radome is configured to cause a predetermined phase shift that varies based on an angular position of the receiving pathway. The device includes 1 or more radio receivers to receive the signals independently from the antennas. Additionally, the direction finding device includes a processor configured to determine an angle of arrival of the electromagnetic energy based on a comparison of a phase of the electromagnetic energy received by the first antenna to a phase of the electromagnetic energy received by the second antenna.

  • Patent number: 10790580
Abstract: The embodiments described herein provide for composite panels that include elements that form one or more Radio Frequency (RF) antennas. The composite panels may be integrated along with other composite panels to form a composite structure for a vehicle. In some cases, the composite panels function both as elements of an RF antenna and as structural elements of the vehicle. In some cases, the composite panels function both as elements of an RF antenna and as a means for static charge dissipation. When operating as an RF antenna, the composite panels are inherently conformal with an outside surface of a composite structure.

  • Patent number: 10685401
Abstract: Aspects of the invention are directed to methods and systems for efficiently communicating data between an insurer and a non-referral repair shop, e.g., vehicle repair shops that are normally not preapproved by the insurer to perform the estimating and repair work. The methods and systems described herein are particularly useful for insurers utilizing non-referral repair shops for servicing vehicles involved in insurance claims. According to aspects of this invention, the insured may be able to select a non-referral repair shop, not delegated or preapproved by the insurer, thereby generally allowing the insured to select any available vehicle repair shop.

  • Patent number: 10644391
Abstract: An antenna includes an antenna cavity structure that defines an antenna cavity and that has a cavity opening. The antenna also includes an antenna radiating element located within the cavity opening and operable to emit electromagnetic radiation that has a frequency and a wavelength and a radome structure covering the cavity opening. The radome structure includes a dielectric material and defines an antenna window that is transparent to the electromagnetic radiation. Due to the dielectric material of the radome structure, the antenna cavity has a depth less than one-fourth of the wavelength of the electromagnetic radiation and the cavity is filled with a low-dielectric material.

  • Patent number: 10581146
Abstract: A broadband stacked multi-spiral antenna array comprising two or more spiral antennas with a dielectric layer having a generally uniform thickness positioned between each pair of stacked antennas, which are all center-fed and in-phase. The antenna array may be embedded in a non-conductive material, such as fiberglass embedded in a resin, a honeycomb core sandwich, or structural foam, that may be used to form a structural element of a mobile platform. The structural element may include a via providing a pathway for coaxial cables. If two structural elements are hatch covers on the port and the starboard sides of an aircraft, the use of a stacked multi-spiral antenna array in each structural element provides two roughly hemispherical coverage patterns which together provide an omni-directional coverage pattern. The stacked multi-spiral antenna array may also include a reflecting cavity placed at the bottom of one of the spiral antennas.
