  • Patent number: 11928772
Abstract: In a ray tracer, to prevent any long-running query from hanging the graphics processing unit, a traversal coprocessor provides a preemption mechanism that will allow rays to stop processing or time out early. The example non-limiting implementations described herein provide such a preemption mechanism, including a forward progress guarantee, and additional programmable timeout options that can be time or cycle based. Those programmable options provide a means for quality of service timing guarantees for applications such as virtual reality (VR) that have strict timing requirements.

  • Publication number: 20230382589
Abstract: A container with a deep recessed bottom end construction is provided. The container includes an inner receptacle having a sidewall and a bottom wall defining an interior volume within the receptacle. The container further includes an outer sleeve wrapped around the inner receptacle with a lower end extending below the lower edge of the receptacle to form a deep bottom recess within a lower portion of the container. The lower end of the receptacle sidewall has a taper angle that is different from a taper angle of an upper portion of the sidewall. The lower end of the receptacle sidewall may engage or contact the inner surface of the outer sleeve. The outer sleeve may include reverse bend and/or a second bottom wall onto which a lower end of the receptacle may sit.

  • Publication number: 20200231364
Abstract: A container and a bottom end construction for a container is provided. The container includes an inner receptacle having a bottom panel and a frustoconical sidewall with an upper edge to define an interior volume within the receptacle. The container further includes an outer sleeve wrapped around the receptacle with a lower terminal edge extending below the bottom panel of the receptacle to form a deep bottom recess within a lower portion of the container. The lower portion of the outer sleeve and lower terminal edge may form the bottom end construction of the container. The lower terminal edge may be a raw unfolded lower edge. The lower terminal edge may further have a non-uniform configuration with a plurality of alternating raised sections and lowered sections. The lowered sections include contact points that are designed to contact a resting surface when the container is placed in an upright position.

  • Publication number: 20190135480
Abstract: A food scoop for holding food items is provided. The food scoop can include a perimeter sidewall formed by front and rear wall panels, a bottom panel connected to the lower ends of the front and rear wall panels, a tuck panels folded upwardly from the bottom panel on opposite sides to form a sealed bottom of the food scoop. The tuck panels can be positioned between the front and rear wall panels along an overlapping region of the sidewall to secure and enclose the lower portion of the sidewall to form the sealed bottom. The food scoop can be formed from a unitary blank having fold lines formed thereon to define the bottom panel, front and rear wall panels, and tuck panels.

  • Patent number: 8844799
Abstract: An cup insulating insert is provided that is adapted for placement between a container and an outer base sheet. The insert includes a plurality of spaced-apart fingers for separating the container from the base sheet and creating an air gap therebetween. The insert has void spaces or air gaps between the fingers that are sized such that, when a plurality of inserts are formed from a single sheet, the fingers of one insert are formed from the void spaces of an adjacent insert. Multiple inserts can be formed from a single sheet of recyclable material with substantially no waste material being created.

  • Publication number: 20060261070
Abstract: A tamper evident and resistant container lid of the present invention includes a lid body configured to cover the opening of a base container having a top rim and a skirt extending from the lid. The skirt has an annular score line and an annular fold line extending therearound. An outer band of the skirt extends between the score line and the fold line, and an inner band folded inwardly to be in opposing relation to the outer band extends upwardly from the fold line to an upper free edge. When the container lid is sufficiently applied to the base container such that the second portion slides downwardly past a top rim of the base container, achieving a proper closure, an attempt to remove the lid will cause a plurality of sections of the inner band to engage the top rim and impede removal of the container lid from the base container.

  • Publication number: 20060220886
Abstract: A Pro Locator Fire Sniffer is a portable air sampling smoke and fire detector that utilizes a fan to draw air into the detector via a sampling tube and/or probe. It is an early warning air-sampling self-contained handheld portable incipient detector system, which allows the user to enter the environment and scan the area for abnormal levels of over heating which gives smoke, flame, fire, smoldering detector early warnings of smoke and fire. An audible and visual notification will be produced to help locate the fire/smoke. The closer you get to the source of the fire/smoke the higher the reading and faster audible signals. A probe can be used to locate fire/smoke inside equipment or hard to reach areas. A shoulder strap can also be used for ease of operation. Batteries or 110AC can also operate it.
